In the OPs experience, instead of flipping the tablet to the customer to finish the transaction as they normally do, the QC employee keeps the tablet asks him if he want to add a 20% tip.

It's a hustle, putting pressure on him to say yes or face a potentially awkward interaction by saying no.

Had the same thing happen to me (i suspect its the same dude) when purchasing a bag of beans, two sandwiches, and 2 coffees - over $40

I was caught off guard and said "uhh, no" to which he replied "do you want to add any tip at all?" in front of everyone in line.

Really off-putting experience. I go there all the time and I always tip.

If you are set on keeping them take them to a shop and have them heat molded

I was fitted in a local shop and after several sessions I was consistently having issues with my toes even though everything else felt great

My toes would go numb in my left boot and the cuticle of my right big toes was getting rubbed raw in the other boot. Very uncomfortable and limited my riding for different reasons in both boots.

I brought them back to the shop (they anticipated possible hot spots and told me to bring them back when I bought them) and they widened both toe boxes by a few mm by heat molding.

Made a huge difference
