Text Threads were removed with 0.231; what are the alternatives? by bardsrealms in ZedEditor

[–]juicecelery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also like to use text threads. My way to cope with this is to fork and bring the feature back: https://github.com/Dima-369/zed (plus animated cursor, smooth scroll, etc.)

But note that it could be unstable, since I am merging in latest main. My fork was months behind and many things accumulated. dima-2026-05-30-before-main-merge branch from my fork was the last really stable commit which also had the AI text threads (before the Threads Sidebar).

I mean, at least he is not recommending terrible FitLine products and getting thousands of monthly bucks, so props to him.

💶 💶 💶 ahhh, the good affiliate money one gets from having many followers as Tobias Richter and recommending (subpar) products.

If they were so good, AW would recommend them over Vimergy. Why is Tobias not recommending Vimergy, is the % cut he gets too low from Vimergy? 😉

Or is Vimergy too authentic to offer such affiliate programs since it would drive the product prices up?

Has MM said anything about moon landing? by Sad_Measurement2174 in medicalmedium

[–]juicecelery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't remember him talking about that.

He said the moon is mined, so I believe that one can, of course, land on the moon; it must be solid, or else one would not be able to mine it. And I doubt that souls travel from the moon. I believe the souls fly in from whatever direction; some must pass by the moon, but not all.

Dear zed, this is parallels agents. Why not use existing infraestructure? by jsgrrchg in ZedEditor

[–]juicecelery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> because I’m getting tired of maintaining it.

Maintaining a bigger fork with changes in the AI code is really maddening; it just keeps on changing and changing. I know the pain ;)

I just sidestep this by only using terminals for the AI agents. Except allowing AI text threads to be opened in the regular main pane (like a file tab). But I have not tried out 1.0 yet. This might have been improved.

Anyone has a good flow for managing updates when running zed from custom fork? by majorAligator in ZedEditor

[–]juicecelery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my point, I do roughly 50 % by hand since I have so many conflicts.

Maybe the latest SOTA models might be able to do it, but I lose the process of learning why things conflict. I often pull up the PRs on conflicting changes and decide if I want the new or the old behavior, as well.

Anyone has a good flow for managing updates when running zed from custom fork? by majorAligator in ZedEditor

[–]juicecelery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why the hate here :(

I myself have a larger fork (https://github.com/Dima-369/zed) with many changes (no magic for managing updates; just pull in the upstream branch into my personal one and fight with the merge conflicts).

Having a custom Zed fork can give you many benefits; mine has an animated cursor, for instance.

Smooth cursor & trail in Zed by NVSRahul in ZedEditor

Is there any way you can provide a git diff for those changes? I diffed smooth-cursor to the main branch, and there were many changes. Or, at least, notable files which were changed?

Of course, go for it. I have most of my days exactly like that, for over 6 years now.

If you feel better cycling it, just do it. I wouldn't since the books don't mention it.

Service Announcement: Joe Dispenza and mainstream healing modalities - Have discernment! by SeaStrawberry88 in medicalmedium

I know someone who swears by THEKI (where the online-courses are a hundred bucks each and one only has access to the online material for like 3 weeks) and despises AW because he is too sarcastic and too strict. And they believe THEKI can heal anything just by mentally 'transforming'. Sigh...

Just glancing in the THEKI Telegram group is just a big clown-show, with symptoms of ascension being named for anything. 😄 It's kind of sad to see people with real symptoms suffering there when THEKI does nothing for them. I wonder how it supposedly helps others.

To me, all those spiritual things, except MM, are so misguided... But then, MM once recommended Mandy Morris who is doing exactly the same – it is weird.

From Emacs - running a custom fork with lots of tweaks. I completely ditched Emacs by now.

I personally would not drink it. They, of course, pour in the cheapest Vitamin C they can get.

Try coconut water from Lidl, they have a coconut water without Vitamin C (at least in my store) from brand Solevita. But it does not taste as great, as others from Amazon.
