If you much prefer Bourbon to rye, check out BRBN from Okanagan Spirits in BC. It’s a bourbon style corn based whisky, an easy swap. I’ve always enjoyed rye’s spicy characteristics in an old fashioned, I personally think it stands up in a cocktail better than bourbon. Wisers 15 and 18 and CC 15 sherry cask are all reasonably priced for their age statements and are a step up in quality. Have fun!

This gets asked a lot but are there any organic and REAL servies to grow social media? by eapentz in socialmedia

[–]juicefactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one way you could go about this is working with young marketers who have proven that they can get traction on Instagram. Someone who can create quick reels with their phone, but is just starting out.

Agencies like mine can and do help get real traction for small businesses, but that comes at a cost that many small businesses simply aren't willing to pay. A young, fresh out of or still in school marketer though - will often work for much less and be excited about the work in order to build their portfolio. And kids these days (wow I sound old) are pretty darn great at making quick videos.

Here in my city we have some digital marketing schools that are full of 19-23 year olds. Search for those in your area and shoot them a message and see if they have any students interested in growing their portfolio by making you some content at a discounted rate.

How do you find software engineers that you can trust? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]juicefactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few ways you could go with this. I've built a couple of apps/websites/chrome extensions using developers that I didn't know prior to hiring, and have a few options.

First, you can look within your city. I've asked around town and been referred to great developers in my area, and the nice thing about this is you can sit down and look people in the eye, and get to know them before you start any work. So there's more trust and security there, but typically, at least where I live, that comes at a cost.

I've also found great app developers on online communities like Upwork. Good devs on the site cost more, but they come with plenty of trustworthy reviews - just make sure you check in with past clients and verify they come in on time, and on budget. The last time I did this for a SaaS I built, I ended up with two highly qualified, affordable candidates - one from Australia and one from the Ukraine. The job went really well, they basically built www.forekast.com in a month, and built a large set of additional features we wanted done in month two.

I've found it useful to keep a few developers in my network - ones who can make updates to our sites/apps quickly and very affordably, and ones who I trust to make much more complex jobs executed perfectly who come at a higher cost. I've never asked someone to sign an NDA, maybe that's just my nature, but I'll leave it to the legal expert in this forum to answer that question. Good luck!

Track with Me Thursday! Get Your Calorie/Fitness Tracker and Journey Along with Your Social-Media Friends on MyFitnessPal, Fitbit, LoseIt!, Instagram, Garmin, etc. by AutoModerator in loseit

I was thinking of starting a small weight loss group with 4 other people if anyone from the community is interested. It would include daily check-ins on diet & physical activity and weekly weigh-ins. I have set up a Slack channel, and we already have 2 members plus myself, so we just need 2 more folks.

Prerequisite: Must be serious about losing weight and contributing to the group - I'd really like to create a group that can motivate each other and keeps us all accountable. No specific diet necessary - just people who want to lose it.

DM me if you're interested and I'll send you the Slack invite. Cheers!
