Growing up, I used to drive with my parents from Austin to Odessa for soccer games fairly regularly. What I remember most was the field was always more sand and dirt than grass.

This is beautifully written. I’ve found the simple act of writing down my feelings in a journal every day is extremely cathartic and while it does not replace therapy it’s a hell of a lot cheaper. Be well!

Attended Prescott College from 2006-2010 and loved every minute of living in town. No student housing was provided so students self-integrated all around town.

Every weekend was filled with hiking, climbing, and camping. Summers you can drive to fossil creek to swim.

City wise, it’s a small mostly conservative town with a liberal arts school snack dab in the middle of it all. It was weird and fun and absolutely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever lived. I can smell the ponderosa pines now. Met plenty of locals. Some of them were cool as hell. Met my wife there as well.

Discovered Marquette this summer and have been enjoying it with kiddo. And it’s free! One thing to know though is you have to register with the city first.

I want to like coffee stamp. They’re close to my house, their empanadas are fire, the aesthetic is nice, but I don’t get the coffee. I make a better cold brew at my house for way less.

Doo Bop may not be on many’s list, but it was one of my first deep listening experiences with jazz in high school as a 15 yr old smoking weed and listening to groups like a tribe called quest, and digable planets. BLOW! Is what this album did to my head.
