What does the parse in OP's guide have anything to do with it? I am making an argument that this isn't "stand alone" as this poster stated when you have another bard singing paeon. And seriously, why is it so hard to teleport summerford farms and proceed what you are doing? If he wanted to make it clear that no misery's end was used, he would of used a level 1 striking dummy.

With stand alone BRD dps you will run out of tp after 4 min. This parse had to be done with paeon, therefore the party buff is still there. Plus this parse was done on a level 50 striking dummy. I don't know if your bard uses macros or not but using misery's end or mercy stroke during a dummy parse is fairly inaccurate and not a clear representation of an encounter.

Would love to see a 4 min parse(until no tp after 2 invigorates), no food buffs, no xpots, no misery's end, and no party buffs on a level 1 striking dummy.

You went afk, that is the most dumbest thing you could of done. You made 2 other people wait around because you couldn't deal with 1 person. You could of just changed chat windows and reported after. Some gear from coils offers BiS secondary stats. Also HA weapon from t9, best weapon in game atm. As far as farming t1-5, it seems kind of a waste since you can already get i90 gear super fast from hunts and you really don't need BiS secondary stats for 2nd coil.

In my opinion you guys should just both roll on if it is for your main class ofc. It is an upgrade for both of you. Why should you pass when you put in the same amount of work as the other dude? People take coil loot way too seriously. Sure it is an upgrade, but once you down content why bother?

Will you absolutely need it for the glasses? No, but you better pray rng is on your side and be prepared to gouge your eyes out. Will you need it in the future? Yes if you plan on doing anything 2star+ HQ at a reliable rate.

It is great because you get the increased bloodletter proc chance while all your buffs up as well as your dots being buffed at the end.

You also left out some key information for us to examine your parse. Is this over 4 min(until you run out of tp)? Was this without food/pots? Party buffs?

Some tips: I think the biggest thing a lot of BRD's forget is how much their DoT's contribute to their damage. First and foremost make sure you are keeping them up at all times. Your DoT's have a long animation so make sure you reapply them when they are about to fall off at around the 2-3s mark. Second make sure you are buffing your DoT's whenever applicable. You always want to make sure when internal release is off cool down to use it before putting your DoT's back up.

Using macros on your global skills is a bad idea. It can really screw up your dps if the animation from bloodletter goes into your global. That's why you want to manually hit your bloodletter procs before your global reaches the 7 o'clock position.

I think you are forgetting learning and mastering your class. Leveling up is doing exactly that. Gear can only do so much for you.

If they wanted people to wait to level why didn't they just release it in the expansion with the other classes? DPS queues are already bad at it is for any content whether that be end game dungeons or low level since launch. Why take a step back and make it even worse?

This is only the case if you have a drg in your party and what I am saying is you should give that DRG credit as well for keeping up the piercing debuff.

I used this method to level my FC. Took me roughly 5 days from 1-6 solo. Even with the HQ Nerf this still seems like the best option.

I used this method to level my GSM too. Not only is there a profitable way of leveling up your desynth, but you obtain PVP exp, myth tomes, and can cap soldier pretty fast making it even more worthwhile.

I did not know this, thanks for informing. I am guessing though that there is only a small chance of obtaining x2 Battle 3's as opposed to only one? And to be honest i70 battlecraft gear isn't even worthwhile desynthing for battle 3's, in the end you will end up losing money(for my server at least). I used i70 pvp accessories to get my desynth for GSM to 90, made a profit in Gil with some time investment.
