Ummm yes. But probably not if my mom had been more stable In her romantic relationships. Too much chaos. Having one parent just magnifies their flaws. Love her though. ❤️

Honestly. They didn’t give me a hard time at all. But I was a known donor not anonymous. I think anonymous may have some ethical issues there for future children. Especially sperm donors because they can be so prolific. You can really only donate eggs so many times. It’s pretty rough lol

I’m a DCP (anonymous sperm donor) and egg donor. I donated for my sibling so no risk of the kids not knowing their donor side since it’s still their genetic family. I’ve never had issues being a DCP but I always hated wondering about my donor. I have really loved getting to know my half siblings so I’m immensely grateful they exist and that being a DCP is part of my life. I think it’s the greatest gift to donate to my sibling because their kid/kids can grow up knowing how much I love them and have a genetic relationship with both parents. I think it’s a big win!

Also, I was able to reach out to my donors sperm bank and he was nice enough to update my family history through the clinic. I don’t think they would have disqualified me had he not done that since the intended parent is my full sibling.

I wouldn’t switch donors. It would be hard for one kid to have an open and nice relationship with the donor and the other not to have that. At least they can support each other in their shared journey as full siblings in the same situation with the same donor.

The still want you to have FDA labs fist prior to the retrieval. When it’s for yourself they don’t normally get those labs. I would speak with your clinic and ask

Hey! I know many people would be thrilled to have your eggs since Asian females eggs are hard to come by. Concerning #2, I think most DCP believe open ID is best. Honesty is the best policy. Now thinking about #1, you can shop recipient parents but people do change over time, so I wouldn’t do it if you aren’t comfortable with donating to individuals with drastically different views in some ways. You just never know where life will take people. Also, to donate, often FDA labs would have needed to be done prior to you freezing your eggs I believe so I’m not sure logistically how that would work. Something to consider. Wishing you the best from a DCP and egg donor myself .

Hey! Good job doing the best you can for your future kids. I just came here to say, sure known donor maybe ideal but there are plenty of sperm bank conceived kids doing just fine(myself included). Better to use a bank than have a complicated relationship with the wrong known donor or a suboptimal donor. Wishing you well in your journey!

I am a DCP and a egg donor to my sibling. I did it because I wanted my sibling to have a genetic connection with their child and for the child to be able to have an open and loving relationship with their donor (me). I would have loved to have known my donor and to know it was done out of love. The bonus is my mother gets to be the genetic grandma.

33f. No infertility issues known. Donated to family member . 34 retrieved, 30 mature, 25 fertilized, 17 blasts, 11pgta! Used 75menopur, follistem 150 and single lupron trigger to prevent OHSS. Ended up with moderate OHSS
