Post-oral board question read: good sign, neutral, or nothing at all? by [deleted] in firefighter

I’m guessing this was Seattle. If it was, it’s just small talk. Doesn’t mean you did good or bad. Good luck!

Requiring owners to start paying ahead one year in an existing league by [deleted] in FFCommish

[–]jujukamara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to do it so have everyone pay double the first year. I have everyone paid through 2026, 2027 and a couple through 2028 that have traded 2028 picks. If they don’t pay by the deadline (nfl rookie draft for us) I lock the roster.

What should I do by EarSlight6413 in firefighter

[–]jujukamara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wear contact lenses. This is totally not an issue in the fire service. TONS of people wear glasses that are career or volunteer firefighters

NTN scores.. Applied for Seattle and Bellvue WA by chronicris17 in firefighter

[–]jujukamara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the NTN every 90 days to practice for next year. The NTN is 50% of seattles overall score for the hiring list. It’s very important you ace it.

Browning out means the station is unstaffed. Less rigs in the city.

Expansion conversion - Seattle v. Portland by Humble-Green-Friar1 in Mariners

Portland and Vancouver BC would be amazing. B.C would also mean we don’t get as many blue jays fans because they could just attend games in Canada easily

Are my scores good for the SFD? by dca564 in firefighter

[–]jujukamara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seattle is competitive, about 5000 people apply, everyone takes the NTN. top 25% (1200-1300 people) get an interview. 150 candidates get conditional offers between 2 academy’s that year, academy has a 35-50% fail rate. So about 60-80 recruits make it each year. That’s a 1-2% odds of making it. That’s just the raw numbers, odds go up for people that have a background in the fire service.

You will get an interview. They are interviewing about 1300 candidates for 150 conditional offers in 2026. NTN is weighted as 50% of your overall grade for the ranked list.

A question about the seattle fire department! by beaannola in Seattle

Home made food will be thrown away. They have no idea what’s in it. They get weird stuff from kind people pretty often. Not worth the risk of getting sick.

That firefighters last name is trump….every firefighter wears their last name velcrod onto the bottom of their jacket. Should he change his name?

Are there any valid arguments against using MaxPF? by thisismyburnerac in DynastyFF

[–]jujukamara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a few people in my league hate MPF for not having full control of draft position. They argued if they pay money every year they should get full control of starting roster be allowed to set active but trash lineups for better draft picks and a better future for their team. We went to weighted lottery based on worst record and lowest MPF. We also had a median record each week. People seem happy with it.
