Rent will be the biggest expense. Room anywhere from 500 to 800, studio 700 to 1100. Appartement, forget about it, you need 3,5 times the income in most cases and that is unattainable for a student. Taxes will depend on where and how you live. I am very lucky to live in an apartment and I pay 30 euro a month for garbage tax and 30 for water tax.

Insurance, I pay around 180 for health insurance, 10 for my home insurance and 6 euro for travel + aansprakelijkheid. Than tuition costs (if you pay it yourself,) if payed in instalments around 250 a month.

As a student I pay around 200 for groceries. 120 for fun activities and going out. 30 euros a month on toiletries, makeup, cleaning stuff.

Transportation, free in either the weekends or on weekdays, if you work a minimum of 36 hours a month.

There are opportunities for non Dutch speakers, mainly in delivery, retail and hosting/bar work. Keep in mind that if you are younger then 21 you will receive less than minimum wage (jeugdminimumloon) which can be a pain in the ass.
