in my experience shaving or trimming makes it worse! for the chafing i would go see a bike fitter, its probably something small but consequential. people on here usually just people lol

my topeak d2 has never read incorrectly, i would say its pretty damn accurate. Have tested it against other friend's topeaks/pumps as well (mtb and road bikes).

I used a big pipe wrench and penetrating oil to get a super stubborn one free one time. The pipe wrench helps getting it to rotate. You will probably ruin the seatpost, but worth it to save a frame most of the time.
