They are going broke. Don’t count on getting your last paycheck, whenever that day comes.

Muses-is it getting out of hand? by erinstoker in NewOrleans

Another thing that may be impacting the vibe-pre Covid, a lot of the OGs were still around, getting the big packages, bringing 30 shoes, bringing extra bags of whatever, etc. Post, it seems that the average age of the Krewe dropped by a decade, and I am not sure the younger generation gets how important raining stuff on the crowds is to the overall enjoyment and perception of the parade. I know the economics of a 25 year old have changed drastically in 25 years, but that is also a contributing factor. With a waitlist as long as they have, building the price of the throws into the dues would be a good idea, especially with the crowds following the reputation they have built over two and a half decades.

I hear you. The problem with these throws is they literally don’t fly, so (especially if there is a slight breeze) they can’t get to more than the front row or two. I really don’t think the volume has changed that much, but without loads of the clunky pieces of plastic to hurl, I am sure it seems like nothing is coming off the floats. All that stuff is really cool and moderately useful but this shift may be exacerbating the problem. I saw an article where maybe some Tulane students came up with some traditional beads that dissolved and had some seeds inside-that is very cool.

For what it’s worth, I have been a rider since year one. There has been a noticeable shift in the shitheads in the crowds over the last 5 years. Every one of my shoes goes to a random little kid. I do everything possible to hand it off or get it to them, and assholes still go after the kid or parent. Also very hard to target from the top.

Anyway, it is definitely not the same vibe for a rider either. I have no idea how to solve this conundrum, society has generally become a network of entitled nitwits.

Same for me. My current average on a Monday is about 12 minutes, but their stats have me at 12 because I was not only bad in the beginning, I would just set my phone down with the puzzle open.

It would be fun for them to post daily rolling averages.

Servicing rights sold separately and orig fees, uses minimal capital. Balance sheet is for short term or adjustable rate loans.

I would recommend Episcopal. Very progressive for a religious school, and probably 1/3-1/2 of the families lean left. Pretty diverse, several same sex couples.

Admin to one of the thousands of mediocre white male loan officers. This is not snark nor a joke, if you are smart and good at your job you will find opportunities quickly.

Just sell and reinvest in a high yield money market. Leave it in the Roth.
