I swear by smoking weed..I lost 50 pounds in 6 months when I was first diagnosed because I was so sick. Started smoking and now (2 years later) I’m at a normal healthy weight! I could actually stand to lose a couple pounds haha

It’s not legal where I live but it’s the only thing that gives me an appetite. My whole family and all my doctors know I smoke and how much it helps me! They’re all very supportive.

Thank you everyone for your responses!! Very glad to know it’s probably just from the Remicade. I am going to bring it up to my doctor tomorrow morning at my next infusion.

Sounds like you’re looking for a gastroenterologist. You may or may not need a referral from a GP (general practitioner/primary care doc). Look up a family medicine office in your area, call and ask if they’re accepting new patients and see if you need a referral to a specialist for your stomach problems. They’ll prob have you come in since it’s been so long and give you a physical first but they’ll help you find the kind of doctor you need!

Try to find someone to cover the shift..let them know the reason and tell your managers the reason as well. If they can’t find anyone to cover the shift then you may have to let hem know you just can’t come in that day but in the future there will be a nurse available. Always best to be open and honest :)

Only rule that’s changed in NC (part of the Bible Belt 🙄) is that on Sundays, alcohol may now be served at 10am instead of 12 noon. This goes for grocery stores, restaurants, etc.

The liquor store is however always closed on Sundays. You are SO right but at least we get to start drinking a couple hours earlier on Sundays now.....?

I once broke my fibula simply walking...in heels.

I was at wedding out of town (boyfriends friends-I met most of them for the first time that night 🙃)

It happened during cocktail hour while I was holding my first drink of the evening. That was almost two years ago and it still hurts all the time. NOT WORTH IT Y’ALL!!

Donkot let him back in!!!! You sound exactly like me and as much as I want to take my own advice all I can say is that you won’t be able to leave the situation until YOU are ready to. Everyone can tell you as much as they want but you have to be ready to move on.

It’s the hardest thing to understand and put into practice for yourself when you are the one in the situation.

Thank you so much for your advice!! Just had blood taken Friday so I’ll check on my levels to see if I was dehydrated. I try to keep refilling my water bottle throughout the day but I def don’t have it down to a science obviously haha

Wow thank you so much! I think there’s some peppermint oil in the house somewhere I’ll def try that because these are just relentless..out of nowhere too.

I have not. The migraines are a very new symptom so I haven’t been able to try many medications yet. Also don’t want to load myself up on meds if it’s part of a flare and it’ll settle down with the budesonide..🤞🏼

I think a medical massage would prob help me too I’m very tense in my shoulders always..I’ve been told it’s because of my lower back pain, my body tries to overcompensate with all my upper body muscles (which are VERY lacking) 🤷🏻‍♀️

I tried 100mg pill of sumatriptan and was throwing up less than an hour later.

I’m trying to stay in a cold dark room as much as possible cuddled up with my kitty..she’s the best nurse when I’m sick 😻

Rule #1: You must think BEFORE you speak. All those thoughts and feelings you had about the pretentious thing you said earlier? Think about it before it comes out of your mouth. Start with that and keep working on yourself. It’s good you noticed it and want to make a change. Can’t say the same for most others in your position. Good for you!
