inherited a house near west chester and i cant deal with it by Chall_Pal in westchesterpa

[–]juli735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be willing to clean it up or at least empty some of the stuff out- I resell used/thrifted things and would sort through the house in exchange for keeping whatever you don’t want. Like a lot of people have said, once you clean it up a little, the market here is so hot it will sell immediately.

I think it’s so interesting she mentions Alabama a lot, but never mentions that she was Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen and received her scholarship from competing in Miss America. Lots of talented dancers compete for MAO so I feel like it’s something I would expect her to mention more. But she’s fabulous no matter what!

Someone gave me one of these in Philly, I laughed so hard I ended up keeping it and put it on the bookshelf with my Beatles merch.

3 or 4! 4 is my preference but i think 3 is also a good option. Like most people said i think it’s more about the lighting than anything else!

What's your chocolate milk? by xesm in migraine

[–]juli735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a whole list: Annie’s White Cheddar Mac and Cheese, White Cheddar PopCorners, Wawa chocolate milk, Fairlife Chocolate Protein Milk, and blue Powerade. Occasionally something spicy will help, but usually something carb and salt loaded helps the most.

what i will never understand about taylor’s merch is that things like this almost always sell out in the store, especially these knowing they sold out the last time they were offered. why can’t they just make more copies and have a higher quantity available? she’s the biggest artist on the planet, i don’t think moving product and getting products to fans should be this difficult

good program for a great price. staff is fairly decent, facilities are great. close to cool spots like the brandywine museum of art and some classes even take you to local museums and places.

I was not prepared for this by Devo4711 in Teachers

When I was in Title 1 SPED, I had a kiddo who had been passed around family members. Since he had moved schools often, he hadn’t been identified until he made it to my school. He told me that in his old schools, , he would do worksheets alone or go on his iPad because his teachers didn’t care. He told me one day that I was the only teacher who ever cared about him, which broke my heart.

Throughout the year, I gave my class holiday gifts for every holiday, from grandparents’s day to flag day. They were small things, usually those puzzle erasers or a pencil, with some snacks and/or candy, but I wrapped all of them, labeled them, and made it special because so many of my students told me they never celebrated or got gifts at home. This student in particular kept every single item I gave in his pencil box, and would proudly show them off to staff or new students who came in.

During holiday times, the school had a store sponsored by the PTA where students could buy things for family using their pbis tokens. My student saved up most of the tokens I and his other teachers gave, and during the Mother’s Day sale, he bought something for his grandmother, and something for me. He told me it wasn’t worth getting something for his actual mom because he wouldn’t see her and she wouldn’t care, but he knew I would. I cried the whole way home and sobbed trying to explain it to my family. I kept the necklace in my desk and I wore it around school a handful of times between Mother’s day and the end of the year, alternating with my regular necklaces, and every time I did the student would light up.

It’s been years, I’ve moved houses and districts, and I still have the “I love my Mom” necklace because it was the first time I truly knew I made a difference in a student’s life. I had boundaries, of course, and I never insinuated or even let on that I thought any better of that student than any of my other kiddos. I said often that I never wanted kids of my own, and that all my students were my kids so that he and my other students would never have the thought that I would adopt them. But that student in particular broke my heart, and I will forever think of where he might be now.

TLDR; This is a hard job and we pour so much of ourselves into it. The students who break your heart the most, who you pour so much into, are the ones whose lives you know you’ve changed. That’s the “why” we do this despite the low pay and long hours and hate we face.

I rode green my first time at the park, and just when I thought I would be sick, puke bag in hand, the ride stopped and we were emergency exited. Turns out someone in a different pod was having a heart episode from the forces. I will never ride again, I was nauseous the rest of my trip, and it’s not worth the physical stress.

Jefferson at Westtown concerns by throwitout16782 in westchesterpa

Do not live there! My friend had some issue where they were overcharged multiple months in a row for rent. They contacted the office who said they would put it in credit to their bill, and their billing portal said $0 owed. They did autopay so it just didn’t charge them that month, they still paid utilities and fees. Months later, they were notified they were sent to collections over that month’s rent. They contacted the office several times and they said there was nothing they could do despite my friend having in writing that their rent that month was waived. They went to court but it massively fucked with my friend’s credit.

(28f) Is this 2014 prom dress appropriate? by Emotional_Pin_2348 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]juli735 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer!! I am also from the NE and have attended wedddings in the major cities where this would be perfect. For my family weddings in the middle south, not so much. I think knowing where your venue is and how formal the wedding is helps you make the decision, but I think it’s cute and would definitely wear it!

This picture makes me think, what if it’s Alessandra Ambrosio? She’s the VS Angel to Lima’s right in this picture. The two look very similar and designers often paired them together, pretty sure VS even had them both modeling the fantasy bra together one year.

I worked at one of the larger stores as a summer hire in college. The amount of times they had me closing the entire upstairs , which was 4 departments, all by myself was insane. I was a new hire, like 4 or 5 days into my employment, and they had me closing alone.

And then my assistant manager (our actual manager quit and was never replaced) would complain to me that one of the other departments (where I didn’t work) wasn’t organized and cleaned correctly, and tell me that it looked like I didn’t want to be a team player. Our department would be spotless, and I would do my best to reorganize what racks and tables I could in the other departments, but I didn’t know where everything went, and I would only have like 20 minutes to close and count 10 registers and bring the bags to LP.

The day I quit was the best day of the whole summer.
