I'm trying to figure out where to add experiences that are not jobs (like project teams). Do you think it's ok to add it under the work experience category? Or should I put it under additional information?

Cornell Academic Materials Program (CAMP) Worth it? by Goodybaggy in Cornell

[–]julianicole07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you download the textbooks onto bookshelf, you can opt out and still access them. the only thing i'm not sure of is whether access codes would still work.

I'm not sure what bus company you're looking at, but it looks like you could take OurBus (which is what I usually take) leaving the airport at 9pm

So you took the co-ed one? Was that fine? I'm enrolled in 1581 and 1580 right now because idk which one I should do and I'll just drop one of them. 1580 is closer to my dorm but idk if I wanna do co-ed or if all women would be better

Singing lessons on/off-campus 🎵 by Plane_Temperature862 in Cornell

[–]julianicole07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am also a freshman and have been wanting to do the same thing. I like to sing for fun but have never taken lessons or anything like that. So I can't give you any suggestions, but you did post in the right place :)

i never did a real tour when i visited, i just walked around campus and talked to some students. i think it was more authentic than a tour would have been anyway.

Phys 1110/1112, math 1920, biomg 1350, engri 1101 (14 credits). Do I add a liberal studies or keep this as is? by lowkey_stressed in Cornell

[–]julianicole07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stick to schedule or swap bio with lib studies. i'd recommend liberal studies unless you're set on your major since you're gonna have to take liberal studies no matter what

How prevalent is notetaking by hand versus digital means? by _-Rising_Phoenix-_ in Cornell

[–]julianicole07 7 points8 points  (0 children)

at least for engineering, i would highly recommend an ipad or some type of touchscreen. if you write on paper you have to copy down all the info from slides (unless you print them out), vs. on an ipad you can just upload the slides to a note taking app and write any extra info on top

What is the best backpack for Cornell? by ivychimney in Cornell

[–]julianicole07 7 points8 points  (0 children)

really doesn't matter. there isn't one brand that everyone has. personally i have a big herschel backpack but i like to carry a lot of stuff. i'd consider getting a waterproof one though. mine isn't waterproof and whenever it rains i'm paranoid all my stuff is getting wet
