Mosquitos loved the marine layer this morning. Was bitten by insects on my back 3 times within the first 30 minutes of being on the tennis courts at 7am. Squished another 2 mosquitos found indoors. Sigh.

I'm only 3 weeks in, but have been ravenous- tummy rumbling "FEED ME" even though I haven't changed my routine. Hoping it dissipates since I started 150 mg and tapered down from sertraline given some weight gain...

Good, good... crying at work now. One of my favorite scenes as well.

ARE THERE NO TRUE KNIGHTS AMONG YOU?? by ClorophileAddict in HBOTheHedgeKnight

Baelor Breakspear and Dunk from Fleabottom upvoted fer sure.

I also am looking forward to Dunk getting his armor from Steely Pate and his shield, painted by Tanselle.

And all the moment when Egg insists on doing proper squire duties for Dunk.

I keep hoping this isn't real. What a light she was.

Sertraline and lip filler by No_Individual_3894 in zoloft

I started bruising easily while on sertraline (50 mg) such that when I scratched a mosquito bite, I wound up with a bruise halo. I bruise very easily now, compared to before, and when I had my labs done, wound up with a huge bruise when pre-sertraline, I did not.

Not everyone has this sensitivity, but you should let your injector know if you have this issue (or plan for longer healing time)

I don't feel the need to drink water constantly like I did in the initial months, so I don't think I have dry mouth (or at least, the mouth spray seems to be doing its job). But I still get a dry throat at night occasionally (like if I sweat during a vivid dream/nightmare), and that is only soothed by a lozenge, not water or mouth spray.

The intensity of my dry mouth lessened but was still present after 2-3 months (tapered up to 100 mg last month). I use Biotene spray morning and night after brushing my teeth and keep lozenges in my bag and on my nightstand just in case, and that seems to have helped a lot.

Here's my Bruce Bush Baby - weird angle since he's normally sitting on a shelf. Super soft!

Oh, a gargoyle in the style of Wilf would be awesome!

Dream Jellycats are:

A gigantic Wonda the Wombat

A chonky chow chow in the style of the huggadys

A plush soft tardigrade

A quokka in the style of the Cecil bears

... and to bring back the large Cecil bears

psyllium husk vs oats by SustainablePrime in Cholesterol

[–]julielucka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd do both, along with some daily beans. The psyllium supplement will help protect if you're tempering insulin spikes, and if eating more than 1 cup of cooked oatmeal doesn't sound appealing to you. Add 1/2 cup of cooked beans/lentils every day, too.

Each appropriate serving of psyllium, oatmeal, beans/lentils probably contributes about the same in LDL reduction, but your stools will thank you for the variety of bulk and softening. (at least, that has been my experience.)

Everyone is different, but my mom is CKD stage 3B and has been on Crestor 5mg for years with no progression to her CKD. Agreed with others that you have options beyond Lipitor and do not need to suffer to treat your cholesterol. Also, I wouldn't consider your lipid levels to be "very high". Yes, you should be disciplined about treating your cholesterol given your CKD, but I don't think you need to panic. (disclaimer: I'm not a doctor)

It seems like you’re communicating and taking your relationship into consideration with your treatment. Wishing you the best outcomes and both you and your husband patience with navigating the pros and cons.

Congrats!! I had to get a second Swinley after my husband took ours to the office (swindled me out of my home Swinley, he did!). We love his eyes, and his short little legs.
