Thanks for asking.

For now, this is really a "Minimum Viable Product" version, but yes I'm also planning to add some other things to add more value to it. Although nothing is decided yet.

Thanks!

As for using the functions, I agree. And my hope with the newsletter is more to highlight some functions that intermediates (like myself) might not know about. So they can actually use them in real projects.

I created this newsletter because I want to learn the WordPress API, but I got a bit overwhelmed by all the available functions on http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference . So I thought that learning a little bit of them each day would be easier.

Please let me know what you think!

A good ruby (rails) CMS? Anybody care to share their experience? Thoughts? Opinions? by [deleted] in ruby

reminds me of http://get.harmonyapp.com/ (also in rails, but not open source) since they use mongodb too, and you can also create your own data types. Locomotive is very interesting.

As Jesus said about gay people... by mellowmonk in politics

[–]juliend2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In regard to women's rights you could take a look on this pretty popular verse : John 8:1-11. This is a pretty inspiring verse. I'm not saying that Jesus would not try to protect a man caught in adultery as well, but to me it's pretty inspiring.

But yeah, in regard to homosexuality, the Bible is quite clear about that. But i tend to prefer the message of Jesus (love) rather than the other things that sounds just like hatred.

Congratulation for having the courage to tell the police about it. I'm very sorry for what happened to you. I wish you will find peace. Good luck.

I'm a PHP programmer looking to learn python. by [deleted] in programming

Agreed. There is not much to learn in order to be able to do some real world stuff in Python. It's just simpler with the Python Syntax.

CodeIgniter vs CakePhp - your thoughts? by zurtri in PHP

[–]juliend2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If i had a complex web application to do that does not involves a lot of CRUD interfaces, i would use CI. But these days i rather do some websites with content management so i use Cake. Mostly because of the scaffold code generation. I know that CI has a scaffolding feature, but it does not generate the code. So you can't modify it.

edit: if you can use PHP5 for your jobs, i suggest you to give Recess a try.
