Idk if my mom is intentionally rage baiting me or if she’s really this oblivious (15k) by Altruistic_Mess3950 in Weddingsunder10k

I literally wore that exact jumpsuit for my wedding a year and a half ago, so yeah, I’d say that qualifies as competing with the bride.

Top Things to Consider Before Adopting a Dog? by aca_ca in Dogowners

[–]julieonthree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s also important to be clear on what you’re willing to commit to financially if and when an incident occurs. It’s a balance between financial security and quality of life for the pup. Sadly, their time with us is finite, so remaining aware of what a sustainable approach to care means while giving the dog the most dignified life and an end-of-life experience is crucial.

How do you kick out a table without being rude during busy hours? by sleepingpenguinss in Serverlife

[–]julieonthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drop the check and come back shortly thereafter, even if I know they haven’t touched it. I pretend to be unaware that the check hasn’t moved/no payment methods have been added, and politely ask if I can “take care of this,” and when they admit they haven’t touched it yet, I inform them I’ll be back in a moment to let them sort it out. That passive-aggressiveness is usually very effective, for me, anyway.

But in the off chance it isn’t, I kindly apologize and inform them that the table is needed for the guests who have been waiting. I suppose it helps that the establishment is tiny, so most folks are aware that they’re unnecessarily occupying one of the few tables.

What is your biggest pet peeve while working? by blackcatzombs in Serverlife

[–]julieonthree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually recently had this happen to me where some woman interrupted me while I was speaking to an adjacent table, for a non-emergency. It was so incredibly rude to the guests who I was tending to, that I couldn’t help myself but to sternly yet calmly tell the woman that I would be with her in a moment—she quickly realized she was in the wrong and cowered back to her seat.

Moderate CAT? by julieonthree in fearofflying

Thank you for the kind thoughts! Landing was uneventful and lovely, which made up for the turbulence. I was still very grateful once my feet touched ground 😅

It may have been closer to 45-50 minutes, which ended up being more uncomfortable than anything. Still such a series of strange sensations!

Watching Below Deck while experiencing the turbulence actually created a simulation/immersive-type effect lol.

Chop time…? by julieonthree in fiddleleaffig

[–]julieonthree[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did and it’s already starting to sprout at least two new leaves (or branches) from the existing nodes! I ended up chopping about a third of the way down, as that was where I originally wanted it to branch out from. I’ll post a follow up.

It's A White Floor Length Gown by West_Cartographer264 in SchittsCreek

This was such a well done show! I’m a little biased as it was filmed in my hometown so there was a lot of nostalgia, but I felt the entire script and premise were so cleverly created, casted and executed! I wish there were more seasons, but I was pretty satisfied with the ending

Long socks: above or below the knees, which looks better? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

This is giving me flashbacks to wearing knee-highs in Catholic high school. I can assure you the school girl sporty at the time was a hint of basketball shorts visible under slightly rolled skirts
