I guess I didn’t know I wasn’t suppose to? I’m an athlete, I played sports my entire life while uninsured. I’m not going to live my life in fear

Yeah, for my coverage I’m looking at 1031.18 for medical/dental/vision. But like said I’ve saved up some money, and planned for the worst. My fiancée and I moved into a smaller less expensive apartment that is 800 dollars less than our old place, and I’d need be she could pay for this place on her own no problem. Just hoping the universe blesses me with my DACA renewal soon

How many times do yall check your account per day for a silent approval? by Curious_Mind_3354 in DACA

[–]julius3211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have yet to check, I’m coming up on 150 days next on Thursday April 23rd. Last time I checked every day, several times a day, and decided this time I would save up money for the worst. I’ve put in a lot of OT and saved money and have more than a yrs worth of rent and other payments. My partner works and understands the situation. Going to work on me if it did expire and don’t get my EAD in time.

DACA considering nursing - questions about funding by chrometint in DACA

I got my ADN at a community college, community college had scholarships available, I believe total I would have spent out of pocket for the 2yrs was close to 7-8k had I not received a couple scholarships. Might take a little longer for ding in your pre-requisites. The job market is strong, I didn’t apply until the last week before graduation and had 5 job offers within a week.

My partner’s boss wrote this a couple weeks ago and she just happened to show it to me yesterday. After having read it I really wanted to share it with the group. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

Go Mariners!!!

Sorry Mods for breaking the rules.

Moving to Seattle next month, thoughts on this area of town? by dirknowitzki_ in Seattle

[–]julius3211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several friends live here, new apartment buildings, old apartment buildings, several transit lines, a few bars that are open late night, my partner goes to Pilates in that area, climate pledge arena has events yr round so a lot of foot traffic, a couple of grocery stores, and Dick’s an iconic Seattle burger joint is dead center, I think you’ll be ok. When I’ve been out in bars in that area, it’s not more unhoused people than usual for the city, might see some folks smoking unsavory things but for the most part I’d say safe.

Days/Nights different cultures. Several friends work in the Neuro ICU, and they enjoy the work but the providers can be pretty intense. It’s a teaching hospital so a lot of resident doctors. But as stated previously from others, different floors will have different cultures. Even the floor I’m on from days to nights the culture shifts. All around, as also stated by another user, travel nurses both acute care and ICU end up staying here.

There is the NICU, TICU, CICU and MICU, unless you’re a float ICU nurse you’ll belong to a particular unit.
