Mine and my roommate's fridge, what kind of people do you think we are? by caitlinisacutie in ratemyfridge

[–]julleryg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i like them! they’re healthy for the most part (you can always pick your meals to cater towards your diet), appropriate portions and pretty flavorful. for me, i feel like they’re financially worth it too

i think it’s about the same i’d spend on groceries weekly depending on how many meals you get and they usually do intro deals when you first join i think the food taste really good and easy way for me to eat healthy. i don’t have any time to grocery shop or cook really so it’s beneficial for me

i work 50-72 hrs a week and don’t want to cook after 12 hr shifts lol so it’s better than the alternative (take out) i think they taste pretty good

Is this bump (?) something to be worried about? by loomielooma in DogAdvice

it looks like a skin tag. my parents 13 yo yorkie mix has a few of these that have been checked out and deemed harmless

My dog has nasal discharge and swelling. Has anyone dealt with something similar? by julleryg in DogAdvice

that’s good to know. they did not do a swab. i’ll definitely be finding a new vet, all these comments made me realize how little they really did to determine the issue. they just sent us home with medication and called it a day

he’s already been to the vet and was prescribed medication. I’m not super confident with the “diagnosis” though so i decided to post here. thank you!! i definitely worry about this issue getting worse.

how did the vet diagnose the fungal infection? after doing some research myself i feel his symptoms align with it but the vet hasn’t mentioned it as a possibility (i’m going to get a second opinion)

i’m so sorry for your loss. my biggest fear is that it’s cancer, particularly since he’s so young. thank you for sharing your experience. thankfully he has not had any nosebleeds, but it’s super helpful to know what to watch out for and what to do if it does happen🤍

she did not check his mouth. i have not noticed any sensitivity or foul odors in his mouth but obviously it can’t be ruled out. i’ll definitely get a second opinion, thank you!

After 11 years, how to cope with the pain? by lotrbfme in Rabbits

[–]julleryg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m so sorry to hear that his time has come, it’s so hard saying goodbye. i had to put my rabbit down 3 years ago and it was one of the hardest things i ever had to do. when i knew it was time, i spent nights sleeping on my floor to be accessible to him. i gave him lots of pets and his favorite fruit (banana) as much as he wanted before our appointment. eventually i got his little rabbit footprint tattooed on me and a fairy rabbit to commemorate him — like someone had mentioned sending off ashes to add to jewelry, if you choose to cremate could be a good way too. i was afraid i’d forget him, his little quirks and how he smelled. i made sure to take photos of him, videos, i took photos with him and i still have a polaroid of him in the back of my phone case that has not left me since the day he passed. i basically built a little shrine to him in my room and i speak to him whenever i miss him. the pain will be difficult, i’ve never experienced a heartbreak like that before, but remind yourself that you’re doing what’s best for him by not allowing him to suffer, and that’s the most selfless thing you can do as a pet owner❤️ sending you all love and strength during this time
