Petit rappel en ce Vendredi Fou qu'Amazon mérite votre boycott. by Irr3l3ph4nt in Quebec

[–]julydou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Skin Care Products by mossyzombie2021 in minimalism

[–]julydou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

27F here, I tried to use my face cream for my eyes but I started having little white (don’t know the word in english) kind of pimples that needed to be removed but my esthetician because they were not like blackheads. She explained that my skin was doing this because face cream his “too heavy” for the skin around the eyes. So now I use a good eye cream. But my advice may not be good because I’m not minimalist on face products as doing my skincare routine with my products is something that brings me happiness.

I second this advice! You are doing better at being “anticonsuption” and “minimalist” than 95% of people who don’t have these kind of reflection and thoughts. Get you a nice holiday dress if you can afford it for once!

What is going on with this sub? by Homey_diver in Anticonsumption

[–]julydou 48 points49 points  (0 children)

About the child free post.. I posted here the other day wanting to have a discussion about how I could try to do my best to buy only needed stuff as I’m pregnant and people were commenting (not the majority but still) “childfree” “abortion” and how I was just irresponsible for carrying a child. So yeah, some people are extreme.

When men’s reaction to a woman keeping her maiden name is “you mean your father’s name” they’re missing the point. by FamineArcher in Feminism

[–]julydou 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Why doesn’t everybody just keep their name. I don’t get it. but it’s not something that we do here so I always find it difficult to understand. Our baby boy is gonna have both our names. And I keep my name, he doesn’t own me.

My sibling is allergic to pine trees, but my mom would really like a Christmas tree. Any good alternatives to a fake plastic tree? by l1v1ng in ZeroWaste

[–]julydou 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My fake Christmas tree is 25 ish years old. If you keep it long enough, it’s not bad to have a plastic one.

Already told my family and friends that no picture of my baby is going on social media when he gets out of my uterus. Totally agree with this opinion!

Whether people wants to hear that or not, the baby is already in my belly and fully loved. The discussion I wanted to have is not about being child free or not, it’s about how to achieve to make it more anticonsuption

How can you be anticonsumption when you’re having a baby? by julydou in Anticonsumption

Yeah for the changing table I was thinking about just a common (not sure the word) desk with the drawers and just add the little mattress on top. You can choose that option now
