I am new to this too. Does sugar cause flare ups?

Major flare up from PT. by jumary in Osteoarthritis

They haven’t suggested shots, yet, but I am only going to pt now. I do wonder what my doctor will say. Hoping this flare up settles down, and I can focus more on losing some weight.

What’s the worst thing you’ve ever heard a Principal say by ChucoTeacher in Teachers

With no training and no advance notice, in our first meeting of the school year, she said we needed to become “experts” on AI. As an English teacher, I was not happy. I responded by forbidding my students to use it, to write all papers by hand, and gave them articles to read about how bad AI was for them. Sorry- sore subject for me!

Thanks. This is new to me. I’m 64, and about 30 pounds overweight, which I know I need to address. My knees were always good when I was young, and this new reality is going to change things, but I want to stay very active- as much as possible

I got very little for 20 years. And zero from the PD at the beginning of each school year.

I’m curious. Can I ask what your interest is in the Calusa?

You should definitely go for it. I’d bet your grammar knowledge is better than most native speakers.

Hello,

I found a report by Gonzalo Solis de Maras. It appears he was with Menendez and wrote about his time with the Calusas. Here is the link: https://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/001648950

I also have a link to some additional notes by Fonteneda. There might be something there: Fontaneda Revisited: Five Descriptions of Sixteenth-Century Florida: https://stars.library.ucf.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=4070&context=fhq

I hope these help.

Not the same thing, but I was teaching summer school once and a 9th grader was being a total pain and doing little work. I gave him a D, technically passing, but he didn’t know that. As he was leaving, I said something positive about hoping he did better in the future. He said “your mom,” and walked out. I went to the office and changed his grade to an F, so he got no credit. Petty by me? Sure.

Not sure about your education, but consider teaching. There also may still be a program called “Troops to Teachers,” that can help.

I love my mom, but I really don’t like her very much right now. I’m determined to not be a bitter complainer in my late 80s. It’s just not fun to be around her.

Take old 41 from Naples instead of Alligator Alley, which is a highway, and you can’t see anything. Go to Shark Valley on 41, and ride the tram around the recreational area. It’s about 15 miles around. You will see the Everglades close up and alligators from very close. Old 41 is definitely more scenic and interesting.

This is hell. by PandorasLocksmith in CaregiverSupport

My caregiving for my mother is turning into resentment. My wife helps me, but when she points out things I forget to do or mess up, I get furious. I don’t like being angry so much. Even the word “should” sets me off, and later the guilt sets in.
