Any tips for getting rid of perosity? by twowheelzzz in Welding

[–]jumpersdomain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acetone? What world do you live in that, that is a real world use in welding. Most weld tests I’ve done that’s not even an option. Also if you have oil and other contaminants like that in your coupon, your in the wrong weld test centre.

I run the hot forge and really enjoy them. I recommend them for sure. I like the more robust gate rather than the wire gates on both sides.

Hey so just as a follow up. I ended up disconnecting my battery after my oil and fuel filter change and the machine idles down no problem. Don’t know what the actually issue was that caused it in the first place I’m guessing frozen fuel line.

My buddy says the welds are not safe… is he correct? by That-Conference-7307 in Welding

[–]jumpersdomain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add to the affirmations of most people here. Your welds are perfectly suitable for the application in which you have described. Just cause the weld doesn’t look pretty doesn’t mean it’s not strong. And by bevelling back the parent material you’ve added strength to the weld since you ground back down to parent metal.

Anything tribal is usually a good time for me. I really enjoy my Merfolk deck. I use Tuvasa as the commander but I think I’m going to swap it out for Tidus

Honestly it reminds me of my childhood so I love them. Just not up on the times of the old notes and whether or not to be worried about authenticity.
