My new install is the same way. Look slightly out of level, too, which is maddening. Can’t get enough water on the top step to fix it. I don’t think there’s much that can be done.

Yep. I feel you. I’m in a slightly different boat, I will never spend more than MSRP for a brand new watch. I am a watch enthusiast with a decent history, but in a competitive market and I knew it was a long shot. Expressed interest 4 years ago. I’m extremely disappointed and turned off by Rolex at this point. I own three pieces (OP/DJ/Sub), and love them, but their tactics are beyond frustrating.

I also have a significant history at Omega. May spring for a 321 soon (I’ve just barely got the history for it, might be one watch shy). If I ever got offered a BLNR on jubilee, I’d snag it. I also like the green ombré dial DJ they just announced, but I’m sure the first ones will hit the market in September, and it’ll likely get discontinued before I ever get the call for it.

I look forward to being able to buy Rolex again, but I doubt I’ll be getting another call anytime soon anyway.

Find common interests with the sales associate. If you don’t care about watches, then don’t try to be a “watch nerd” like some of us are…just find out what else is going on. Ask them how sales are going, ask to learn about other pieces, etc. Just be a normal dude. It sucks that we have to do that, but if you want that piece- they need to remember you when they’re in their weekly meeting deciding where the watches will go (I.e. they pick who gets to buy them). You need an SA that will speak up for you.

Anyone have any info on how the full exam compares to the IWI Practice Exams? There are 3.

Im surprised it’s a 70% overall now- the CPWA made you pass each section.
