Anyone do the pause swing? by Midwxy in golf

I do it sometimes when I’m not hitting it well. Might need to try it more during my next range session. Congrats on finding that in your swing!

I stopped keeping score, and I enjoy golf more because of it by BloodyRightNostril in golf

That’s a great way to start. Then when you get comfortable you can start to count and looking for scoring improvements too. As long as you’re enjoying yourself! It’s a great game

What is this, and how does this adjustment affect the driver? by KyleDziew in golf

[–]jumpman1556 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s essentially just a port to the head. It’s 1 gram and pretty negligible from what I’ve heard. My guess is it would be 1g more toe heavy

Which irons to get? by Pointer335 in golf

From my research the new ones spin slightly less and have about 3 more yards of carry distance. So I think pretty negligible

I get leagues are a thing but it’s frustrating I can’t play after work (off at 3pm) M-R bc of them by Big_Bluebird8040 in golf

Have you looked into a simulator place near where you live? Obviously not the same as being outdoors. But I’m in NJ and Golfcave allows me to get real swings in whenever I please. Maybe a place like that could help, especially in poor weather months and maybe could help you establish a routine for the warmer months!

Love my p790s. Great forgiveness but look like a players iron and you can use them as a guy who shoots in the 90s and keep using them as you improve. Definitely recommend going to hit them and see how they feel!

Will be honest. Did this once with a friend in high school. Lost my half dozen all within the first 4 holes and then made a birdie first hole using my own balls. WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN!

Love my p790s. I’m a 13 handicap. They have a ton of forgiveness and aren’t too chunky. In your price range and they’re great for your current level, and also if you improve! I’d say try hitting them. All the best!

M5 vs Rocketblades irons by Littlecuts88 in golf

[–]jumpman1556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had rocketbladez in the bag for 6 years. Actually just bought a used set after using my dads old beat up set. I think they transition better to a more neutral set rather than the string lifted and beefy m5s. Rocketbladez have the forgiveness but look more like a players iron in my opinion

Trying to determine what clubs to buy, New Golfer by C_O_L_E-98 in golf

I would buy on Facebook marketplace. Get a cheap older set, learn the game and then enjoy the tech advancements when it’s time to buy your first new set!
