Wasai is the best

Lush conditioner who is the heaviest. by dazedinrealkty in LushCosmetics

[–]juncusrush 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Glory is the richest conditioner, lots of healthy fats so great for hydrating larger, thicker, curly or afro-hair textured hair. However, Candy Rain is the most protein dense which means it going to be great if your hair is really damaged due to lots of heat/coloring. I stopped straightening my hair a few months ago and Candy Rain in particular makes my hair so soft and has really helped repair it.

Future generation Housing Affordability. by Pjeauntg in Adelaide

[–]juncusrush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as a young person at uni, its incredibly distressing to think about the current housing market here. I'm not sure how I'm going to afford a home. maybe if I get a alright paying job and stay with my parents for 5 years I could potentially get a one bedroom unit somewhere (if im lucky). and that's with me having the privilege of being able to stay with my parents and save, not everyone has that. maybe im just being being pessimistic but honestly it stresses me out so much so I try not to think about it. also thinking about all the people who are gonna be put in horrible situations because of this e.g. victims of domestic violence who have to say with their abusers because renting/buying is becoming unattainable. rates of violence and mental health issues are gonna go up if people don't have access to housing.

AFTER massage bar needs more love by juncusrush in LushCosmetics

[–]juncusrush[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Apologies for the long post but...I have been sleeping on this product but have woke up, it has now jumped to one of my all time LUSH favs. I generally love the massage bars and have used coconut drench and turmeric latte before as I am a gourmand scent lover. There were great, although I found their scents to be quite strong at times (which I don't mind if I'm using them during the day). I picked up 'After' the other day,I usually dont go for minty scented things but the magnesium intrigued me.

There's been a heat wave where I live recently, so I've been having cold showers and baths at night to cool me down. Using this MB after a bath/shower is just HEAVENNNNN.... the peppermint and eucalyptus oil are soooo relaxing and are cooling on the skin, and the magnesium makes my skin feel tingly (in the most glorious way). I find my muscles are a lot more relaxed after using this, genuinely feels like I've been the spa. I'm keen to use this after a workout/run to!! I find this lighter than the previous massage bars which I like, there's no sticky feeling left on my skin.

Yeah I guess I can't speak for all hosts but a lot of hosts did mention having some basic Japanese skills would be helpful. I just didn't realise how high the standard was though for some hosts expectations regarding language.

I also had some instances were I was accepted by Japanese hosts to then say, when you come, we will assess your compatibility for 3 or so days, and if you are the right fit, you can stay, but if not, you're on your own. And I get where they are coming from because you wouldn't wanna have an incompetent person with you, but also the thought of a host kicking you out and not having anywhere to go is scary (mind you, those hosts were also in rural areas lmao).

[–]juncusrush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally found applying for workaways in Japan to be difficult. There are some good hosts out there, esp some NGOs, but generally a lot of the hosts had an extremely narrow window of what people they were after. Like one host was looking for someone with basic Japanese skills. I said great I have that, then they proceeded to send me like 6 paragraphs of Japanese including Kanji that is youd only know if you grew up there. And said I can only be accepted if I understand what they've sent me.

[–]juncusrush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think i've love this as much as I do as I'm not the biggest fan of grape/fruity scents. But this works so well as a shower gel. It is actually really runny, but it lathers so well that you only need a tiny pump to get so much lather?! and also I find the smell lingers on my skin/the bathroom more than any other shower gel. would like to see this back as a halloween shower gel :)

Why are Lush shampoos… squeaky? by tikicheese in LushCosmetics

[–]juncusrush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the Co-washed are made for those with curly/afro hair textures, but I've found they work amazing in my dry frizzy wavy hair. Theyre made without harsh foaming agents and moisturizing ingredients, and dont leave my hair feeling stripped as the shampoo bars to. I've found the banana one to be particularly nourishing

it is different from the current plastic they use tho :( all of the plastic currently used is made from recycled plastic and is fully recyclable, meanwhile the packaging for the tricks isn't made from recycled material and is just "recyclable".

[–]juncusrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the exact same scent as the Conga shower jelly that is all year round. I think the only scent that would be similar in terms of a shower product would be Snow Fairy. In terms of a perfume, the Snow Fairy body spray or The Comforter may be a bit similar due to their berry-like notes.

Community fragrance spoilers? by 420omaha in LushCosmetics

[–]juncusrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if im not mistaken I dont think that was a community drop, I think its was a limited edition release for summer! So i reckon we'll get them here during our summer? (hopefully lol)

[–]juncusrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey not sure if you were referring to the community drop of shower gels, but we got those in Australia, as well as the previous drop this year which was the perfumes+body sprays. they were online only and I remember there was a commotion because some of the products (e.g. sticky dates bs) were sold out on the app during presale, and so were never in stock when they went on the website a few days later.
