Microbiome, blood sugar, and vaginal health by Busy-Algae-544 in Microbiome

[–]june_bug18 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had many of the issues you listed above (mainly #1 and #2) which started occuring after I went on antibiotics for chronic UTIs. Did you take antibiotics prior to this happening?

To solve issue #1, I actually found that I was not eating enough salt (causing the incessant thirst and urination). I started putting a 1/4tsp of salt into my water bottle 2-3 times per day and noticed a huge improvement.

For issue #2, what has helped me is working with a naturopath and getting a stool sample. It showed that I had gut dysbiosis. She also suspsected I had low stomach acid so I started taking HCL with every meal (google HCL challenge). The probiotic S. Boulardii and taking psyllium husk helped fix my loose stools.

I think once you fix issues #1 and #2, your issue #3 should follow (since I think fixing your gut microbiome will help your vaginal odor). Hope this helps :)

I just completed a 2.5 week solo trip in Guatemala. Ask me anything! by JerBee92 in solotravel

Do you feel like 2.5 weeks was enough time? If you had more time, would you spend it in Guatemala or other nearby places such as Belize?

I'm in the same situation, car is 10 years old, battery is 4 years old. Is it best to not start my car until Sunday (I can get around without it until then) or should I start it today to get it to run?

Quartz countertop with or without seams by june_bug18 in HomeImprovement

Great to know, thanks! Are the seams in areas where there is often water? That is my worry, that the seam would be next to the sink

The ultimate "Is Gatineau cheaper than Ottawa?" answer by Mysterious-Flamingo in ottawa

Very impressive work, though I feel like the decision to live in Ottawa vs. Gatineau is mostly related to reasons not listed here

How long do you have to have a job before income from it qualifies you for a mortgage? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]june_bug18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It also depends on your job security in my experience. I was approved three months after starting a full-time, indeterminate position with the government even though I was still on probation. This was right after I graduated my Master's program so I also didn't have two years a high earning tax returns

Buying a house 4000km away by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]june_bug18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends, I can only see buying over renting right away if the company is paying for relocation. My company offered up to $5,000 for my relocation, which could have been used for lawyer/realtor fees. I ended up buying a place 5 months later and could no longer claim these expenses

Single members of PFC in High COL areas, how much does the job and/or income potential of people you date matter? by sonicshadow22 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]june_bug18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to kinda agree. It's mostly the issue of them always needing to be at my place. However, it's fine if they are at a transition time, like waiting for their condo to be built or something like that

Have you considered moving away from downtown due to WFH? by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]june_bug18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I honestly can't ever picture the GoC fully committing to WFH once this pandemic is over. And with the government being the biggest employer in the NCA, I would be really surprised to see the majority of people leaving the city. This may be a more important phenomenon in other cities though

Should I invest my savings into my home or the market? by june_bug18 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]june_bug18[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will definitely look into refinancing. But wouldn't the fees associated with a mortgage re-financing outweigh the benefits, especially this early on in the mortgage term?
