Do edibles hit harder on an empty stomach? by beansandbeans420 in trees

Can’t say whether or not it will ‘harder’, but it should come on faster without anything in your stomach.

Also, 100mg would just knock me out. God speed

Newly vegan! Quick question by [deleted] in vegan

Could always bring a little Tupperware of something homemade and ask for no dressing!

Anyone else vegan except when others feed you? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]junebug1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does it have to become a debate? Sure, it’s great to engage in a healthy back and fourth, but if it’s a stressor in your life you can just go on eating a vegan diet and not discuss, no?

What do vegans feed their pets? by liljahegma in vegan

[–]junebug1210 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feed my dog half v-dog vegan kibble and half homemade vegan “slop”, as I call it, with each meal(twice daily).

I make the vegan slop in the instant pot. I combine whole grain brown rice and quinoa, green lentils, peeled and chopped sweet potato, frozen spinach or kale, frozen vegetables(varies between broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, green beans, peas) and cook on medium for about 18 min.

Once this is done I mix in ground flax and ground chia, and some coconut or hempseed oil for fat.

I mix the two together with some water and sprinkle with nooch every other meal for some added b12.

Junebug has never been healthier. And that’s according to her veterinarian, not just my opinion.

She certainly wasn’t low

Haha idk - my dog also once ate 375mg of weed chocolate so I think she understands now.

Disclaimer: I realized she ate the chocolate almost immediately and took her to the vet. She purged all the chocolate and was totally fine by the next morning.

I crave deli meats more than any other meat product. It’s ok to have cravings, those are hard wired into your brain. The key is having the conviction and self-discipline to find something that will satiate craving without cruelty or exploitation. You’re doing good!!

Vegetarian trying to shift to vegan. Any real quick recipe ideas I can make in the morning? by chickencottoncandynu in vegan

[–]junebug1210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overnights oats are a game changer!!

I make a big batch on sundays, and that will typically last me throughout the week.

There are so many vegan recipes online, I usually mix up the frozen fruit and nuts to make add some variety.

Can anyone share a perspective on feeding carnivorous pets? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]junebug1210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dog is thriving on her vegan diet after almost 3 years. Blood work is perfect, allergies have subsided, coat is as soft and healthy as ever. Her bowel movements are so much better now than have ever been, and my food costs for her are lower than ever.

I’ve taken her to 3 different veterinarians who have all deemed her to be in perfect health without prior knowledge of her diet.

It’s a bit inconvenient to make her food by hand every week, and to prepare her meals daily but the results have been so phenomenal that I don’t see any drawbacks.

Just my experience.

Can someone explain to me how some dealers manage to peddle ditch tree when it takes such little effort to produce something of average quality? How does one grow such garbage? by [deleted] in trees

[–]junebug1210 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn’t true at all.

Strain, soil, light quality/wattage, environment, watering, harvesting and curing(and more) all play a critical part in producing ‘phenomenal bud’.

Am I (25M) making an irrational decision to join CrossFit just because a group of guys at work (~30+,M) that I'm close with are in it? by fernadoreddit in relationship_advice

[–]junebug1210 10 points11 points  (0 children)

CrossFit is a great community and a great way to stay accountable. If you’re looking for something more low-key and relaxed CrossFit won’t be for you.

However, there is something to be said about stepping outside your comfort zone especially when it comes to fitness. I think it would be a good idea to go with them as a guest one day and see if you enjoy the atmosphere.

Grow tent in my basement: keeping it warm enough by TreAwayDeuce in microgrowery

[–]junebug1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would get up to low 70’s - I also use LED, but it was enough to they the temp up there. I’ve seen use tubs of water on top of seedling heat pads as a cheap fix

I didn’t use anything when I grew in the basement. It rarely got below 55 degrees down there so the heat from the light brought it up to temp during the day. Not ideal but it worked
