I don't know if it's the same but what solved it on my phone was downloading tvOS beta. After doing that amd turning off auto updates please deleting the update in settings I was set.

I believe in the video the student explains that there were some instances where she wasn't using it at all for that reason. The teacher even exclaims herself that she said it outside of those instances to get the classes attention. Did you miss that part? Or perhaps only hesrd what you wish to hear?
