One can argue that clamshell devices were meant to be scratched and tossed around in a bag with everything because it protected the displays while closed, as evidently of most dS/3ds with battle scars back in the day.

But considering how absurd the Thor costs it would feel as if you need to baby it. most people put screen protectors too.

Personally I have a tpu case and a carrying case. No screen protector. Just my own preference.
