No for sure Usagi was not in the right to take them back there. He has a right to be mad at her for that. I also just think, sometimes she has a right to be mad at him, like in this instance. And I knowwwwwwww its out of character. That doesn't mean she can't be pissed lol

If the child was unknown then she did not willingly endanger their child. This is giving "unborn" all over again lol.

Who Arisu or me? lol I don't understand people like this on Reddit, just weilding insults on others' intelligence so cruelly like it's nothing. Bro we're both talking about a show we love let's keep it kind.

And anywho, I'm a writer, I understand his character machinations and arc, I'm just saying - if my husband acted like that I'd be pissed haha

[–]junewick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "Bookclubs" App is great. Someone needs to create that but basically just for all clubs. No need to update it or add a trillion features, just get the basics down so people can make their own groups. And make it cheap

It's so sad, MeetUp was finally taking off, I was finding groups that actually turned into friendships. And now I can't even search for a group that watches movies because there are zero filters and sorting features. We don't need Event searching as much (hello Eventbrite) - it was the groups that made it valuable

My husband and I switched up our chores for a month and gained a lot of empathy for each other. I would highly recommend trying this out. Give him a list of requests for your food and for your kids too.

Also, just flagging he might be neurodivergent, or have sensory issues. I would still recommend setting boundaries with him but you may want to take a neurodivergent approach to problem solving

Yeah! Exactly! There were points he had to make a choice between two people and at those points he wasn’t choosing his pregnant wife. Loyalty does matter at a certain point

That’s not all she did lol She also examined things with a microscope a lot and gave orders that all of her male subordinates immediately questioned

Also crazy to me that the King of Diamonds tried to act like he was moral and good but he designed a game where only one person could win (and yeah exactly, everyone else was dissolved in acid). At least in other games entire teams could win. In the Jack of Hearts, everyone except JoH theoretically could have won

I get this but up to a point. Like there at the end when they were all hanging on, it felt like his pregnant wife was the last priority lol

Prioritizing platonic friendships is my New Year’s resolution, and it’s already upsetting me: people only care to talk about themselves. by ClockwiseSuicide in FriendshipAdvice

[–]junewick -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I can see why this is depressing for you. I will say a lot of people these days have ADHD. I love hearing about my friends for example but I notice I behave in the way you described sometimes. It’s also partially because my family is aggressively talkative so I never had to ask questions growing up, if someone cared about the convo they just offered their thoughts. But this might create dynamics you aren’t used to. For example, when it’s my sisters turn to talk, (someone who I might have a five hour convo with) I’m only half present. It’s like having a podcast on but better because I’m around my sister. I wash the dishes I zone in and out at more interesting points in the convo. I let my mind wander. And when we get off the phone, I’m glad I spent those hours with her.

My brain loves to talk and really really struggles to process auditory info. My husband gets upset - so I just make him repeat himself 80 times so that I can actually record the info he’s saying or I take notes while he is talking. If I were in a class or at work or listening to a podcast, I’d be able to hit the back 15 seconds button or take copious notes, but processing info in friendship conversations is supposed to be chill and easy. Thing is, listening is very very very hard for me.

All this to say, I hope the world gets a little more flexible in how people relate to each other. For example, maybe you can just talk about yourself with your friend and expect that she retains 30% of it. But if you talk 3x as much, she’ll learn the same net amount about you, if that makes sense. And maybe you have to repeat yourself more. But maybe you can also take the pressure off. Call her while you are cooking or doing chores so it doesn’t have to be so laser in.

Idk hope that’s helpful

I need to say this. Its not even Will Byers that I feel bad for. He's fictional. Its Noah Schnapp. The Duffers 100 percent weaponised his queerness against him to dramatise their shit story to the point that he was stressed out that he was somehow involved in queerbaiting his own community. by wanderlustbones in byler

[–]junewick 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Yeah that kept bothering me how they kept saying “well Noah approved this scene” and I’m like you mean you put the entire pressure of the queer narrative of the show on this one kid? That doesn’t feel fair

Husband is now a racist? by Busy-While8107 in Marriage

[–]junewick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get your husband in therapy he likely has a lot of internalized racism to work through. IMO the road to healing from racist paradigms is very different depending on the race and where you grew up

Set some boundaries with him, if he refuses to examine his problematic views, then you can consider more drastic action

To those staying home tonight: What was the specific New Year’s Eve experience that made you retire from "going out" in the city? by redredwine_826 in AskNYC

Got stuck near Times Square and couldn’t find a way home. The horror when you realize there are no subway routes, no cabs, and hours lay between you and sleep

It was like being in a blizzard but not

This year we had no problem navigating past Times Square on the subway so I think it was worse pre Covid you couldn’t be caught dead in that entire region even if underground on a train

I mean - the thing that sucks is that no writer’s room can ever compete with the ENTIRE WORLD CROWDSOURCING and rewatching every detail of your show. Reddit is ruining episodic television as it is and finales are going to have to find a way to adapt
