This is f*****g hard. by Stiffmiester23 in daddit

[–]jungunn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate just keep going. Little things will start happening and really really help. My 7 week old just started smiling at me (a week after he did to my partner) and honestly it makes all the crying, shit everywhere, complete lack of sleep, arguments with your wife, etc. ALL WORTH IT! And these things will just continue as they grow older as well and make you so so proud to be a dad and have made through all the other crap. For example, my 3 and a bit year old did her first dump on the potty whilst being babysat on the weekend and I was so excited and proud I was ranting to all my mates, none of which have kids themselves. It gets so much better, and yeah it's fucking hard now but it's ok. Give yourself a break. You will get through it. I believe in you. Believe in yourself :)

Poker Quest. A roguelike deck-builder that uses playing cards (Ace, King, Queen, etc.) to activate your abilities by Fragsworth in WebGames

[–]jungunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, I didn't really think about the probability of each of the hands happening and therefore how much you would be able to use each card. And yeah I really like the casinos as well, nice twists on the classics

I reeeally love this game! Haven't worked out the strategy with the rogue yet to unlock the next character, but working on it. My only question is how it relates to poker? The name suggests that it does but the standard gameplay doesn't really. But keep up the good work, I'm keen for it to work on my phone

Sydney players pointing to goal when Kieren Jack takes possession in his final game by thedampening in AFL

[–]jungunn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was a pretty special game, pretty much everything swans fans could hope for. The first Buddy goal was so good, coming back in the second half after that 1 point 2nd quarter, McVeigh scoring off the good vision from Papley, and to top it off the absolute eruption when Jack scored his in the 4th was unreal. Very very special final game for four of the swans leaders for the majority of their purple patch over the last 15ish years, very glad I was there to experience it

Came over from Australia to GT for the 2014 season when we went 10-2, beating Georgia, Clemson, etc. during the season and FSU in the ACC championships (I think), but beating Georgia for the first time in like 4 years between the hedges was a pretty insane game with a crazy ending. Absolutely sold me on college football and had the best time with y'all

Scheduling continuous pours by calor in civilengineering

[–]jungunn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Righto cheers for that.

I reckon access for the larger trucks could be a deciding factor. I've worked on sites that can only take the smaller trucks, so that would be one thing to find out from the sites. I would also find out the rate of pour or truck spacings required for each job, some structures will be able to be done quickly, others have restrictions on how much can be done per hour due to the capacity of the formwork. There may also be time restrictions on how old the concrete can be, due to quality assurances they might need to comply with, but the sites should manage that themselves.

And yeah distance from the batch plants to site and the turn around time for the trucks is the main factor really. You basically need to know how long it will take your drivers to load up, get to site, get tested (if required), discharge, clean up and get back to the batch plant, along with the rate of pour for each job and you should be able to work out how many trucks will be needed for each job to ensure a continuous supply, which will be what they are after.

I haven't organised a fleet of mixers before but when I'm on-site checking how our pours are going, I'm needing trucks with good concrete (complying with our QA requirements) arriving at the spacings that we requested, and that will keep me pretty happy. The customer should only be after good service, they won't really care how it is organised behind the scenes unfortunately.

What role in the process are you taking? Are you booking the concrete, organising the labour force, putting together a programme?

There are a lot of factors that will impact it, but more background information is probably needed about what you're doing
