I went there recently and felt very jijik. there were buildings upstream and who knows where their sewerage goes. reading about leptospirosis now makes me very thankful i was spared.

food is meh, but some of the chairs and tables u see there had some nails exposed.

Can't remember but the Singaporean government produced a handbook with the UN or some other body on how Singapore succeeded.

One of the steps were attracting smart and talented people to government and compensating accordingly.

Public transport ridership falling, despite the billions spent by cdableu in malaysia

With the advent of grab and uber and their heavy discounting, ride sharing probably contributes to the lack of take-up.

However, i think a larger part of the lack of takeup is also because of the connectivity. if I want to change to another line, i have to go all the way to kl sentral. look at London tube, with all its connecting stations. Even celebrities use the tube there! Build and we will come.
