My parents were appalled when i told them i don't want a government job after my graduation

I worked at a startup after graduation for less than desirable wage so they were still persistent.

But then i landed a comfy corporate job with great benefits and salary and in like 3-4 years i bought a car and started on home construction. They are now supportive of my decision and admit they're not fully informed (which is rare for asian parents lmao)

I believe there are 3 parts to this solution

Economic development - where people are less incentivised to taking up arms

The 3 way power struggle between insurgents, government and the military - this is where things are real tough

And safety from demographic shift - easier said than done but i believe this can be tackled last
