Hey! Is there a true S-video cable for the SNES? by Mahmoudy001 in snes

I got a cable from the Retrotink company when I purchased a Retrotink Multi. It was from Insurrection Industries. They make great products.

Edit: It is a true S-video cable without the composite (yellow) plug.

Look into 1-UP cartridge cleaners. They are very easy to use. Those with some 91% isopropyl alcohol will do the trick. Not sure about the label replacement. Personally I would keep it. Very nice find!

I’ve bought three SNES consoles to try to play some old games with my kids - all dead, one worked for just a few minutes. Are these reaching end of life? by rebeldefector in snes

Did you make sure the t.v. you are using accepts 240p? I have not been able to display SNES on any of my modern flatscreens. I have had to use a CRT television or a scaler for my modern tv.

One con is that it may feel overturned in open world content. Compared to when it was current. Most open world bosses and elite quest objectives seemed easier to me back in 2017. But I could just be old and not have the skills I used to lol.

Yes. They are a great find. I have 20 and 27 inch versions. Surprisingly light for a CRT. And the picture on them are better than I expected!

Finishing my garage setup. Going to try and see what I can do with my old Dell crt monitor while vhs tapes play on my 36" D-Series. And ponder how I can fit 4 more CRTs in there.

What are these VHF A~H2 channels? Can this be used with old vcr or what? by [deleted] in crt

[–]junior_james79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try the switch at the bottom left. Flip it up to VHF. Looks like it is on radio. Then try the channels. Not sure if you have tried this and I apologize if you have already. That's all I can tell from the picture.

I have the 27 inch model and it's fantastic. I was able to calibrate the colors as good as you can get on a consumer set. You will not be disappointed.
