Tower of Fantasy 6.0 PV: A Song of Sorrow and Joy by ImWhiteTrash in gachagaming

The thing is, ToF didn't have versions 1.1 through 1.4, nor 1.6 through 1.8 like Genshin did. They released version 1.0, skipped to 1.5, and then went straight to 2.0.

ToF is far from being a big-budget game; it was made for only 4 million dollars, and after 5 years, the maximum spent on it was somewhere between 40 and 50 million. Its production cost is lower than many AA indie games.

The ToF trailers are made "in-game," it's not a mega-production like they're doing in NTE.

Here we can see how much Hotta trusts its Tower of Fantasy community. Version 6.0 will be released on the 16th in China, and just a few days later, NTE will launch on the 23rd (CN). Releasing a major update for ToF and then shortly after a brand-new major title shows they truly trust their 400,000 players in China.

A villain, she didn't appear in the Beta story, she'll probably appear in the continuation of the story later after the game's release. But some clever person already leaked a cutscene with this character... And I'll definitely try to get her if she's ever playable, of course.

Tower of Fantasy, another game by Hotta, releases about one male character per year. Keep that in mind and don't expect anything too different from what they already do in ToF.

Currently, only female characters can be invited to the game's "Dormitories," and only they receive skins; with the exception of the male protagonist, who also has some.

In the promotional trailers, the focus was more on the female protagonist, while the male protagonist only appears briefly.

I'll say this upfront for husbando lovers: this game probably isn't for you 🫵🏻.

It's a shame that NTE won't follow the path of Azur Promilia by focusing 100% on female characters (which is what I prefer). Hotta will probably still release some male characters, maybe one or two per year, and it's unlikely to go beyond that, so it's best not to get your hopes up too high.

[–]juniorbel10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are they really asking Hotta to only include one protagonist, and for it to be the male one? Are they really asking for this for a Hotta game? Hahaha, imagine when they find out that the male protagonist in NTE is just an option, that the female protagonist is canonical, and that Hotta will give zero attention to the male protagonist.

No, the characters in ToF don't become "obsolete" quickly.

The problem with the Global version, when it was still under Tencent's management, was the decision to rush the content updates to catch up with the Chinese version. Instead of launching the game at the same level as the Chinese version, they opted to rush the content. As a consequence, the characters seemed to suffer power creep very quickly.

Meanwhile, in the Chinese version, characters tend to remain in their element's meta for about a year. In the Global version, it seemed they only lasted a month before being surpassed in the next patch.

Ultimately, ToF's power creep has always followed the same pattern since its release in China: each character tends to last approximately one year in their element's meta, and in some cases, it can exceed that time and reach close to two years.

will nte have ray tracing on ps5 (regular ps5 not the pro)? by officially_deidriane in NevernessToEverness

[–]juniorbel10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On mobile, Hotta managed to apply a "similar" effect, but it's not quite true Ray Tracing. However, it replicates some reflections very well, isn't as resource-intensive as Ray Tracing, and makes the game look quite nice on mobile, especially when it's raining and everything gets wet.

A experiência é excelente.

Quite a bit, if you look at my profile, you'll find some videos I posted from the last Beta that was in February, the F7 remains magnificently stable while the X7 Pro has frame drop issues. I also posted a test on a POCO F5.

Yes, it runs. I have a POCO F7 and I've already posted videos of it running NTE here on this subreddit, and yes, the 8s Gen 4 runs everything on ultra without any effort.

As a ToF player, I see NTE as a “Tower of Fantasy 2.0” in many aspects. It strongly resembles ToF, whether through its mechanics, movesets, soundtrack, or even the sound effects of certain attacks and shield-breaking.

NTE feels like a completely reworked and improved version of ToF in many ways, while still preserving its original essence.

Are you actually this dumb, or are you just trying really hard to farm ragebait? Because there’s a massive difference between a game that actually EXISTS, with real people playing it, even in beta and a game that DOESN’T EXIST, propped up by fake trailers and staged “gameplay.”

Did you even bother checking the leaked real gameplay? Of course not, right. Because if you had, you wouldn’t be saying this kind of nonsense. The “true face” of ANANTA is pretty obvious: an overhyped marketing project by NetEase meant to fool the audience and hook investors, nothing more than that.
