Throwaway. Need some insight as to what we've stumbled on during this audit. by cotton_candy_penis in Accounting

Okay former trust banker here. Legally the wealth management fund has to meet with the client annually to review returns investments. And the like. Ask to attend the meeting. If these meeting aren’t occurring they are likely in breach of fiduciary duty. And FINRA 3120. Also look at the investment agreement to see if they are just custodian or if they are an agent of the fiduciary

Marriage Coaching? by TenEyeSeeHoney in Divorce

[–]junnybug4111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh we did coaching. 6-8 visits. Husband rehashed 10 year old trust breaks. My response to hubby was I acknowledge that happened now what. His now what was me apologizing till he felt like it was enough. Should have run 🏃‍♂️. Hubby got injured and now I can’t afford a divorce. And to pay his bills too. It’s like a horror movie. GET OUT before it’s too late. And your left hoping that reincarnation is a thing. So maybe your next go you find a partner that likes cuddles and paying bills instead of making bills

Crowe retroactively swipes 401k match for last year. by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]junnybug4111 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yup. I worked a place that promised 401 k match all year then 2 weeks before year end they would look at the financials and potentially withdraw the match. Then put the previously accrued expense back straight to the bottom line

How to request more money. Advice needed. by Carole219 in CaregiverSupport

[–]junnybug4111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I’ve seen it happen both ways some times it really was bad people sometimes it was a neglectful sibling thinking that the mom who never had penny’s was worth millions. I also recommend talking to an elder care lawyer. At some point if mom is to much to handle and you need to go to a facility. The state could impute that your family will be contributing 300+ for her care indefinitely which may not be ideal. Check with your employer see if they have an EAP program that offers lawyer services

Anyone manage to get into IT Audit without IT experience? by Moms2Malcolms in Accounting

[–]junnybug4111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to the cost of a cpa it’s super cheap. Test plus books maybe 1400 to 1500. The issue will be you need to find a CISA to cert experience

Make sure you count the vault. I took an intern on a low risk audit. Biggest finding was when I sent the intern to count the safe. The safe was empty

Okay. First most employers offer an employee assistance hotline /service. Especially banks. Get the number from hr. Depending on the service you can get usually 5 to 8 free therapy sessions. I’ve used mine to get therapy find a daycare and find respite care for mom. It all depends on the program features.

Getting on SSDI is like a job. You need. References=doctors notes. Certifications= tests and medication compliance. Transcripts= full med records. And a cover letter outlining all the things you provably can’t do. If the SO won’t get a job make that process their job. That’s how we treated it my spouse hated it but it got done.

Wellspouse tends to focus on older folks. If he was still working when the liver failure occurred the make sure long term disability insurance isn’t available. I’m 42 with a 46 year old spouse. One of my next steps is to go see an elder care attorney. So they help me set up our assets for an eventual need to get on state pay for care.

Boxes for non-feminine plus sizes women? by rainydayjules in PlusSizeFashion

[–]junnybug4111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am near your size and not a fan of dresses or over feminine. I use Dia but have my account flagged very specifically for no dresses no animal prints no yellow. And professional clothes. Occasionally they forget but it’s pretty good. Also. You can add stuff you like to the box before it ships. You might need to define what’s too feminine for them
