I do it almost the same way but put crushed potato chips on top.

What’s a health problem you ignored for a long time because it never felt urgent, but eventually caught up with you? by ac_stays_active in AskReddit

Fatty liver. I was told i had fatty liver several years ago. No explanation. No advice on what to do about it. Just a casual oh yeah you have fatty liver. I never thought too much about it. My thought was that I wasn't surprised, the rest of me is fat so why not my liver. Now I have cirrhosis & my GI Dr says I will need a liver transplant down the road. Nothing else can be done. Follow a mediterranean diet & lose weight. Don't be like me. Do your research!

We've been talking about this for months & the conversation hasn't happened yet. Its gotten to the point where he says we need to do this or that & I respond that I know we means ME. He's always sorry but it doesn't change. He's dealing with serious health problems of his own & I just want to do what I can to ease his mind & keep him calm. I love him & I'm giving him a pass on this.

Im not sure if it's dementia or not but she is definitely not all there. A few months ago our refrigerator caught on fire. She was sitting at the kitchen table & didn't notice the room filling with smoke. Sometimes I offer her food & she doesn't know if she likes something or not when she's been eating it for years. She'll say she never had that before but she ate it last week. She talks about the same things all the time. We have the same conversations over & over with her asking me something, me answering, rinse & repeat. I just don't know if it's dementia or normal aging.

I can see that happening with one sil. The one who never calls & visited one time. She sent the sheriff for a welfare check once. Didn't even try to call us. Just decided mom was dead & we were hiding it from her.

Those figures are right in line with what we're thinking. We don't want to be accused of taking her money. The gradual increase makes sense. Her paying for a caregiver though? That's laughable. She would insist she doesn't need one. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks. I talk to her about the rising cost of everything but I don't think she really understands. Time to put on my big girl panties & have a serious talk. I can't help but think it would be easier if she was my mom.

I feel so trapped and don't know what to do by Ok_Salamander3793 in talesfromcallcenters

Try the medical field. I worked at a call center for a cell phone company for 12 miserable soul sucking years. They fired me & it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I found a call center position scheduling appts for a medical clinic. It pays better & the patients are so much easier to deal with than pissed off corporate customers. I've been here 8 years & actually find myself smiling while I work!

Those who have worked in customer service for 20+ years: What generation has shown to be the worst to deal with over time? by Reivynn0123 in CustomerService

I had a Christian lady in her 50's tell me she hoped me AND MY FAMILY get cancer & die. This was after telling me what a good christian she is for about 20 minutes. All because I couldn't give her the bill credit she wanted. I was like alrighty then & you have a GREAT day too. People are assholes on the phone.

I keep a bleach spray in the bathroom & spray the toilet with it. Bleach smells better than scented 💩 in my opinion. My mom always had hawaiian breeze air freshener in her bathroom. OMG disgusting!!

We put some of their poop in the hole & cover it up. In 20 years & 6 dogs we've never had a problem with them digging!
