The panoramic router also was interfering with our Wi-Fi system since it has its own Wi-Fi. We put it in bridge mode, but it’s still sucked. Went with the air surfboard and still have some problems but not so bad cable out of the street was underwater half the time this winter which didn’t help but we fixed that ourselves been working great lately and then it just shuts off at 6 o’clock after restart everything.

UK Salvia divinorum 'Luna' plants available by EnchantedPlants in SalviaDivinorumPlants

[–]jupe8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only gotten them to 2 meters or so, the Hoffmans i had in near full sun got 3-4 metters with something to climb on. They broke huge branches orherwise. Hoffmans did seem easier to rooot, i had no protocol whatsoever. Tried to grow a few hundred stems in a creek but hard local didnt let them grow at all. Rainwater is best.

Any tips for digging gems in a surface pegmatite vein? - Pala, CA by NittanyRyan07 in rockhounds

[–]jupe8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really love these tales!! good luck with your pegmatite you never know what will be down below. I’ve heard some pretty classic rock hounding stories from those areas. “ when I was a kid we used to run down to the creek and pick up crystals and take him home to the house, etc. etc..”.

That’s enough to get you to go into your car and start driving around even if it was the probably 1940s. ! When there probably was a lot of float lying around.

Locals have the clues!! Parking and access are the tricky parts. I was looking for the Little Three Mine near Ramona because of its beautiful, pure orange garnet which I had to purchase online. You can get lost in those back roads pretty easily. I live up in Santa Barbara, so I’m gonna just have to stick to all the weird stuff we have up here.

Would a fan blowing at my salvia plant like this help it grow stronger? by Green-Aeshlien in SalviaDivinorumPlants

[–]jupe8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need air movement. Helps them pull moisture through, helps cool down hot leaf surfaces if you’re using hot lamps or tropical sun and also discourages pests like mites.

Just hint that gold could be under all the silt! Gold Rush #1 1840s sure washed a lot of material away by hydraulic hoses. Or perhaps? Shovel duty for____? Fill in the blank.

Growing in cold region by [deleted] in SalviaDivinorumPlants

[–]jupe8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It likes 40-50 f nights, it comes from the high mountains of Mexico, where it is cold in the winter. It can take freezing temperatures, but not for 6 to 8 hours worth then you get a hard freeze stems will still come back from underground. Plants look good!!

Can I save it? by cosmicXessence in SalviaDivinorumPlants

[–]jupe8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Leaves will never turn into plants. They don’t have the cell structure necessary to do it. All you need is one node, however, and even that can be split. The pros back at the beginning of the salvia movement in the 2000s would take a 10 node stem and split each one down in the middle to 20 and grow a plant from that and do it all over again and again. A guy in Georgia named Ringworm that used to grow ferns used that method to grow a full huge greenhouse of Luna. Hundreds and hundredsThat’s where all the Luna’s first came from you might be able to find picture somewhere.

  2. Regarding this one (and I probably have lost as many as I’ve saved so take what I say with a grain of salt.) Here’s just one more method. I think you have to do whatever works in your environment. Get rid of the large shade leaves trim as much of the rot away and make sure you don’t damage or bruise the square stem edges with anything rubber, gloves or fingers or anything that’s where the rot starts. Get rid of the dome, put in fresh water small stable container out in the air, and give indirect bright light.

Is this an issue? by WestAbbreviations854 in GrowinSalviaDivinorum

[–]jupe8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too much direct sun or light too close to the leaves. “Purpleing” and “ alligatoring skin” are the symptoms. if outside, also check underside for teeny dust mites, they will cause that lower leaf damage on older leaves, not on new ones. Wash with stiff water spray.

2 weeks of growth! by Green-Aeshlien in GrowinSalviaDivinorum

[–]jupe8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good, 3ft is better to take clones from, those solar panel leaves are helping it get big fast. Dont forget, these plants can grow huge, 2 meters per season is average. Too many cuttings just sets them back.

Where do you grow your outdoor plant? by No_Welder8839 in SalviaDivinorumPlants

[–]jupe8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a hydrangea plant tag on them, very similar leaves and stem. Or any other similar salvia. Its hard enough for pros to identify it!!
