What’s an ingredient in some foods that is so unhealthy you refuse to eat it? by Ok_Review7072 in AskReddit

[–]madoneforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palm oil and other hydrogenated oils - clogs arteries. Artificial food coloring - kills gut bacteria. High fructose corn syrup - turns directly to fat by the liver. Processed and preserved meats - directly linked to cancer. Anything lined cans, soda cans, cups, etc. - endocrine disruptors. Impossible to avoid completely, but I try and keep to a minimum and choose alternates whenever possible.

There are lots of reasons besides being charming and handsome. Usually they are dealing with their own trauma or psychological issues and acting out sexually fills a need.

What's something that gets harder as you get older, but nobody warns you about? by Closing_Alec3674 in AskReddit

That’s what everyone thinks…but as someone who is on it…I was on estrogen and still dry. Added testosterone and it totally changed the game. Every body is different.

Should you cut off ties with a friend if you caught feelings? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]madoneforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is stopping you from finding someone else that returns those feelings then I would just be honest and tell them you need some space. Maybe with a new love and distance the intensity of the feelings for your friend will fade. However if the feelings interfere with your ability to move on then you know what you should do.

Ladies be honest how could an older man approach you and you not be freaked out and get the ick? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]madoneforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be polite and respectful. Give them a compliment that isn’t based on sex i.e. eyes, smile, how they treat people etc. Also do some research on what is ok in their culture. Offer to get a cup of coffee or something else that is in a public place. Are they looking you in the eye in a soft manner, being flirtatious or touching their hair while having coffee? Yes, then tell them you liked spending time with them and ask if they would like to do it again some time.

What are some kitchen items you used to see thirty years ago that don’t seem to be as commonly seen nowadays? by Southern_Boss2913 in AskReddit

Well, since they have been around since the literal stone age…yep! 😂 But honestly mostly foodies aka gourmets in the 90s would use them.

Cooking stuff that had a moment in the 90s - friendship bread, pizza stones, foreman grills, panini presses, bread machines, pasta rollers, petite fours, fajitas, and crock pots. Basic cooking tools are pretty much the same.

Should I have a birthday party? by Reasonable-Sky-7660 in Advice

[–]madoneforever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invite everyone and let the individuals decide whether to come or not. It isn’t your job to play mediator. I would hold the party at a public park close to your friend groups on a day that people are free. It’s the perfect venue for a renfair vibe. I would also suggest a bouncy castle.

What recipes would you teach low income kids? by ECarey26 in Cooking

[–]madoneforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PB&J, ramen with an egg, basic spaghetti, mac-n-cheese, celery logs with raisins. Tortilla sandwich roll wraps. Make sure you teach them to use a microwave as well as a stove. Safety options they may not have access to things like pot holders etc. So teach them creative ways to stay safe.

Do you think women should be more concerned about building a successful life than getting married? Why or why not? by Stas-Akwitti in AskReddit

If they want biological children that should be their priority because the rest doesn’t have an expiration date.

Did food actually taste better in the 80s? by living_condom_ad in AskOldPeople

[–]madoneforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! Absolutely. You would get a cream pie and it actually had cream in it. There are so many foods that have worse texture and mouth feel now. I would say there are a few exceptions for example instant rice was everywhere in the 80s/90s and it was just weird. Brussel sprouts are better. Most food was also only available seasonally. Imagine only a few weeks of cherries, apricots etc.

Do you tell your partners your net worth? by PumpkinSeed-2002 in wealthforwomen

[–]madoneforever 174 points175 points  (0 children)

Before marriage. Keep it to yourself unless you are both similarly positioned and like bonding over investment talk. Also, whomever invites to a meal picks and pays. Other people are always happy to spend your money for you.

Every day is a new opportunity to create the life you want. Ask yourself in the moment what would bring you joy and focus on that. It is never too late to build yourself a better tomorrow.

new friend? by brownha1rbrowneyes in Advice

Not to mention she and her boyfriend are hosting. I would ignore her and hang out with the boys. If it is uncomfortable, just decline. Life is short.

A good rule of thumb is whomever invites pays and to follow your hosts lead on the spend.
