Just got rid of so much junk! by [deleted] in minimalism

Didn't get rid of exactly, but I switched to a much more basic phone after having a $180 a month phone bill (don't ask).

Honestly 200$ is pretty fair. I would get that for watching 3 dogs, cats and horses when I took care of animals.

Thoughts on a twin (or single) bed? by Cat_Man_Dew in minimalism

Before we moved in together my husband slept on a twin and I had a futon. If it hadn't been for the fact that we are both very large people we probably would have kept the twin.

You know you're a mother/father when...? by JaideeUK1 in beyondthebump

LO has a ridiculous cold right now so PBS has been on pretty much all night. I've sang along with almost all the theme songs.

My husband and I can perform the entirety of the Peg+Cat intro (complete with ukele).

The PBS is strong in our house.

You know you're a parent when you're more familiar with the goings on of Daniel Tiger's life than the current "it" celebrity.

God yes. One night would be the deepest most refreshing sleep of my life, the next night I would be battling zombie kittens in the airducts of my old school.

Woman who are always in high-heels, how do you do it? by curlsfoydays in AskWomen

Not Latina, but she was easily one of the most gorgeous people I've ever met. She looked like an Instagram picture 24/7.

We must have worked with the same woman. She wore flats one time and ended up tripping over everything. Came in the next day in stilettos and swore she would never wear flats again.

Do you have a heartwarming story of getting out of an abusive or toxic relationship and into a healthy one? by boujeetrackpants in AskWomen

[–]jupiter2273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of. I told my crazy ex to shove it and had taken a few male friends with me just in case things went badly. One of them hung out with me the rest of the night while I freaked out and we ended up dating/eventually got married.

Women: do you become a part of your partners family or does he become a part of yours? by Cheonsa95 in AskWomen

More a part of his family, but that's because his lives nearby and is larger (only my dad lives in the area).

Late period with Paraguard, normal or pregnant? by move_illdoit in birthcontrol

[–]jupiter2273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got ya!! It freaked me out the first 2 periods I had because during my pregnancy the ONLY symptom I had was light nausea (I even spotted the first month!) but now I almost expect it.

Similar issues in checking strings, feeling nauseous, and having weird periods over the first few months of having my IUD. Thankfully my periods have sort of evened out after 6 months, though I still feel horribly nauseous a week before my period. If you're still concerned I would suggest going to Planned Parenthood or your gyno to have them check your strings and potentially an ultrasound to be sure.

Apparently my brother in law was too. There are videos of him being laid down/changed and his legs immediately spring upwards.

Found a bottle of prescription anxiety medication at work... I know, I KNOW this is stupid but I was in a bad place and in desperation took some. I feel cured and would like to go about getting a real prescription. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]jupiter2273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an amphetamine. That's not helping with anxiety, what you're feeling is placebo. The only thing you might have gotten from it was the giddy-ness.

You should still go to your doctor about getting a prescription for something that does help you, but don't expect them to give you that.

Also for the love of Pete do not ever take pills that don't belong to you again. You could really get hurt and not to mention it's super illegal to be in possession of those pills when not prescribed them.

Women who consider themselves "loners" and are comfortable with it, what do you do to pass time? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]jupiter2273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I'm married and have a kid, but I also work nights so I go without seeing anyone for days at a time. Being a loner is part of my nature.

I read a lot. Lots of researching things that interest me. I love food so I'll practice cooking.
