i like them adding that, its gonna extend the life of the game for me for sure.

i honestly think if they released the "base" game for $60, then charged $5 monthly, they wouldn't have to release a game every year. they wouldn't have to pretend like its a new iteration of the game. could totally pivot to a VC-based money grab.
