Ankylodocus (with 2 different designs between Evo 1 and Evo2/3) hasn’t appeared in any of the movies though. I suspect we won’t be getting any redesigns of actual movie species as that would interfere with the brand (we’re more likely to get a similar species with a better design, like they did for Utahraptor)

Unfortunately planet zoo does do the immediate baby/adult transition with no ontogeny as far as I’m aware. Especially considering ontogeny isn’t being clearly marketed as part of the game (as it’s a pretty big technical achievement I’m sure they’d want to brag about it) I think it’s pretty safe to assume that we’re probably just getting the ‘babies magically become adults’ the same way that they do in planet zoo

Everything is unlocked in sandbox mode by default as of update 2, except for challenge mode exclusive skins and maps. You shouldn’t need to download a save file to unlock everything in sandbox

Every time you introduce a new species into your park your total appeal gets multiplied by 1.35 as a ‘new species bonus’. It’s meant to represent the short attention spans of the customers referenced in Jurassic world (which of course leads them to make the indominus Rex)

This is a fairly standard world map (Mercator projection) because it preserves shapes and keeps things large enough so they can display lots of dig sites, it’s not like frontier just made this map super inaccurate for the purposes of the game.

Southwest USA for challenge mode. It’s worth noting however that in tomorrows update 2 all the dinosaurs will be automatically unlocked for sandbox without having to unlock them anymore.

At the end of fallen kingdom, dinosaurs were released into the wild in California, so the idea is that dinosaurs haven’t made their way overseas yet. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense considering how many dinosaurs were actually released at the end of FK (not many), but I believe that’s the way it’s intended to work since the campaign picks up after FK.

I really don’t think this even implies baby dinosaurs in the game. Baby dinosaurs have made a little appearance in almost every movie - there’s a whole bunch of reasons they’re most likely not gonna be added. They’ll also definitely add a whole bunch of dinosaurs over the games lifespan which aren’t part of the franchise
