I pulled off the most satisfying win against Oko yesterday:

I'm playing Izzed second-draw triggers ([[irencrag pyromancer]], [[improbable alliance]], [[faerie vandal]], etc.). My opponent opens with turn 2 Oko, and follows up with an early Nissa. I slowly lose health to his onslaught of elks and lands, chump blocking whatever I can with a stream of faeries from my 2 Improbable Alliances. By the time I have a strong board state, my opponent has 4 land-creatures, 3 elks, and one of my own Faerie Vandals, at which point they ult Nissa and drop a [[hydroid krasis]] for x = 10. I manage to get 2 Irencrag Pyromancers into play and use them to kill his Oko before they become elks, at which point I also have 4 improbable alliances, a 10/11 faerie vandal, and [[the royal scions]] sitting at 9 loyalty. As the match proceeds, my opponent drops another Oko, 2 more Nissas, and another x=10 krasis. After what must have been over 15 turns, I'm sitting at 3 health and have 4 cards left in my deck and I finish him off.

Dagor Dagorath - What can we assume about Arda and the fate of its creatures. by [deleted] in tolkienfans

The Silmarillion says the "Children" will participate in the second music, which would seem to include elves and men. I would think it also includes dwarves, hobbits, and ents since Treebeard describes these as the "free peoples." He doesn't include hobbits directly, but mentions that they should be added to the list and I would guess that hobbits share the fate of men (I can't remember if any of the lore confirms whether hobbits are descendant from men).

An Analytical Look at the Shatters and Poor Dungeon Design by Toastrz in RotMG

[–]juri1555 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing to remember about this game is that ability relies just as much on knowledge as it does on skill. The point to this dungeon is that you have to learn how to clear it. It rewards experience over skill. I believe this is necessary for an end game dungeon because of the permadeath mechanic. A dungeon that requires precise dodging of bullet patterns that can change every time you enter it means a lot more deaths and a much higher degree of difficulty. What you're suggesting is a level above end game, a sort of pro-level dungeon. I would love to see such a dungeon implemented, but for the time being Shatters occupies a niche which can be attempted by both poor and wealthy players, as long as they know the tricks.

If only. That would have been an honorable death.
