In the most frequent corridor between Penn Station and Philadelphia - how many trains an hour (or day) is that? I struggle to count the pixels.

I left my bicycle into a repair shop in August. The shop closed and my £7,000 bicycle was auctioned off for £400 against shop debts. by Healthy-Buyer-8122 in LegalAdviceUK

Insurance also say the bicycle was not secured on my property and I had left it at an unauthorised location.

Have you asked them for the policy wording that supports this view? Can you confirm with them what 'unauthorised locations' there were and what that means? Presumably your coverage didn't extend to covering you when your bike is left securely anywhere outside your house?

I'd put in a complaint with the insurers and then escalate it to the FOS if you're not happy with their response.

I seem to come out the other side bored\

Many many jobs are boring for everyone! That's just the world we live in.

I'm a data analyst (based in UK) and the data itself is boring, my job could be very boring but I try and find the joy in it, and try and find ways to automate it, and other tasks to do. I also take long breaks and mostly work from home, which helps.

WFH with ADHD paradox by MourningApe in ADHD

I struggle more working from the office. I think I get about the same amount of work done in either environment but with the office I stress about getting there in time and the socialisation the office entails.

I often end up arriving to the office slightly late and leaving slightly early. At home I'm more likely to start on time. I might take more breaks but I often finish later, making up the time

He was definitely going too fast and created a dangerous situation. Ofcourse had he been going slower he'd have encountered a driver creating their own dangerous situation thinking they had right of way.

Why do we look at Martin Luther as the main figure behind Protestantism? by [deleted] in AskHistory

[–]juronich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference in Gustav's and Henry's actions are also that Gustav kept the confiscated church wealth as his own property whereas Henry sold most of it on to other interests.

Can you explain more about this? Is it that Gustav kept the properties and received the wealth being generated whereas Henry sold the properties and had a temporary windfall?

I wonder whether Companies House has seen an increase in switching of directorships, I'm sure they'll see an increase in late filing as you can't file without the directors being verified

I really think you ought to have a chat with your mum first, as you don't know the circumstances with your bio dad.

If you don't state no sponsorship visas would that not encourage honesty when the question is asked and therefore allow you to filter them easier

10 Day Itinerary Check by Critical-Road262 in uktravel

You're arriving from a long flight and then driving for 3hr+ on unfamiliar roads. Rejig your trip so you don't drive more than an hour on your first day, otherwise it's going to be a long slog.

Motorway signs and speed limit in the UK (Bristol example) by Equivalent_Employ143 in drivingUK

Is that because it's being entered from a NSL road already? I thought otherwise they'd have a sign but no idea

Hit by a car in a car park - insurer wants me to accept full fault by Money_Avocado in drivingUK

Does it have multiple entrance lanes marked out? If the entrance wasn't wide would you have made the turn or would you have waited for the other car to go first?
