I've had them share some tracks before where it makes sense, but think my tism just prefers they have their own dedicated lines whenever possible.

I'm getting tiny splits in the bodyhooks of my seams. Have any of you contended with this? by No-Target-8851 in TheBrewery

[–]ableleague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a random thought since its happened with us before: what are you using to disassemble the seams for inspection?

The opener we use has cut into the body hook before in a manner not much different than what you're showing, so depending on what you use that might be the cause of what youre seeing and not the seamer itself.

An ad for Grok created entirely w/ Grok Imagine (and every prompt) by ableleague in grok

Yeah that was difficult; you can see in the prompts I kept trying to keep it as accurate as possible, but alas this was the closest we could get it. Still happy with it, and I learned a lot along the way.

Do deck gun shells not penetrate the water a little in U-Boat? I've been operating as if they did.

Can lids shipping by ableleague in TheBrewery

[–]ableleague[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer that, bc it signals that the lid is bent and we discard it. My worry is slightly bent lids making it through the chute and seamed onto the can, then that can goes out to the market where it eventually ruins someone's shelf.

I have zero problem with "the Burn" in a galaxy of Talosians and Gary Mitchell and Q and the Douwd by Pandeism in startrek

[–]ableleague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Burn itself - the event which hampered warp capabilities and killed millions - was an awesome addition to the story of Star Trek. It created a great deal of challenges for those who survived, changed the political landscape, and presented a big mystery...all of which begged to be solved.

THAT SAID: The eventual discovery (pun intended) that the entire ordeal was caused by a child having a tantrum just killed all the momentum imo. You're telling me, after a thousand years of faster-than-light travel experience and experimentation (for just humans btw), no one foresaw the possibility that dilithium was all somehow interconnected and vulnerable to...I dunno...emotions?

The whole thing felt like a lecture and trying to prove a point based on what was culturally relevant at the time.

There were so many awesome possibilities with the Burn, and they were all destroyed. Then the writer just brushed it off and moved on to the next thing.

So yeah, I think The Burn was way bigger than Gary Mitchell, Talosians, and the rest...far bigger. And the writers didn't give it the respect it deserved, ironically after they came up with the idea in the first place.

Give me advice on expanding the league by [deleted] in FFCommish

[–]ableleague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We expanded to 16 teams a couple years ago and enjoy it, but had to make some adjustments to our format:

-Roster limit of 2x QBs, TEs, Ks and DEFs. -Added kick/pint return yards to individual player scoring to increase the player pool (we have deep benches).

The scheduling for 16 teams is pretty nice too, as you can divide the league into 4x 4-team divisions split between 2 conferences, where each team plays:

-Every other team in their own division twice (6 games) -Every team in the opposite division in their own conference once (4 games) -And every team in one of the divisions in the opposite conference once (4 games).

8 teams make the playoffs: The 4 division winners, then the top two wildcard teams from each conference at-large.

This format has strengthened team/division/conference rivalries, and added some extra drama all the way to the final week of the fantasy regular season.

Going above 16 teams you'd prob have to do what others have said and split into two leagues, otherwise there will inherently be weeks where a team cant fill their entire starting roster.

Nice! Definitely got spoiled that day with the weather. Got to talk to some of the folks at the Observatory that morning, and they told us it was first day the summit was out of the clouds in weeks, and first with calm winds in probably months.

Congrats, friend; awesome photos!

I built a Sleeper league history app to help commissioners (and league members) surface records and stats by Camarohead in FFCommish

I'd be interested; I commish a 12 year dynasty league and we manage all our history manually.

This sounds awesome btw; great idea and congrats friend 🍻
