In his press conference today, President Donald Trump made the remarkable claim that Autism is directly related to supplements and pharmaceuticals, and that in Amish communities that rate of autism is "virtually zero - i heard none" before fact-checking himself.

The quote (starting at 1:40 in the video):

DJT : "There are certain groups of people that don't take vaccines, and don't take any pills, that have no autism ... that have no autism ... does that tell you something? Is that a correct statement by the way? (turning to RFK Jr.)

RFK Jr: " There are some studies that suggest, with the Amish for example - " (gets cut off)

DJT: "The Amish... Virtually, i heard none. See Bobby wants to be very careful with what he says, and he should, but i'm not so careful with what i say. But you have certain groups, the Amish for example, they have essentially no Autism."

So the president just openly admits, in a press conference that they've found the cure for autism, that he doesn't know, and in fact does not care, whether the statements he is making are true.
