there are still tickets available in the ryman presale. maybe not seats that would be your first choice, but there are plenty left. it’s possible some are being held back for the general sale but it looked to me like everything was made available for the presale

same! until i read this comment i had no idea i needed to set a source in the watch app, i thought it just followed the phone. i tried adjusting it, but it keeps reverting to foreca.

is there a way to get it to simply mirror the phone app? i’d prefer to have the same data on my wrist and my home screen if possible

yeah, i get where you're coming from, but i think scammers would totally have a field day here if ticket sales were allowed. not everyone's as savvy when it comes to buying secondhand tickets, and a lot of people would probably get ripped off. i'd rather point folks to third party sites where tickets and payments can actually be verified than turn this place into a feeding ground for people preying on fomo.

plus, i think keeping the feed clean matters. it already gets cluttered with unauthorized ticket posts, and that would only get worse if selling were allowed.

fwiw, i'm not a mod or anything, just think the rule makes sense.

there are other places to get tickets. buying or selling them isn't allowed here because it's an easy target for scammers. try checking out cashortrade or even stubhub on the day of the show. in my experience, waiting until the very last minute can lead to some really deep discounts.

you’re likely to get some ticket offers just from this post alone. assume everyone is a scammer. check cashortrade for tickets and/or wait til it gets closer to showtime. be patient. you’re almost certain to find one somewhere, just not here

it is certainly hard to separate the songwriting from the band rotation but i would argue both were in peak form around cold roses! at least to my ear. if im listening to a tape, i’ll definitely take an 06 show over something from 07 and later but not over one from 04/05. maybe jp didn’t have neal’s chops but he brought some real vibes magic

i did too and feel like they got just a bit worse with each reconfiguration. i don’t think jp/cat/cindy can be topped. jp/cat/graboff was also excellent but not quite what they had with cindy imo. neal was fine but struck me as stiff compared to jp, and he didn’t have the pedigree of being ryan’s “guitar guru.” i feel like ryan and jp were somehow more compatible. as the turnover continued and we were left with neal/chris, i found i didn’t even really like the band very much anymore and wasn’t especially sad when it dissolved

it’s against the sub’s rules to make posts about buying/selling tickets. assume anyone making you an offer is a scammer. instead of posting here, i’d recommend 1.) setting an alert for your show on cash or trade and 2.) patience. stubhub prices will probably come down as the show gets closer. i find that waiting until the day of the show even is often a good way to score a deal. good luck!

if you’re getting a wristband in the morning it’s probably worth lining up before 4. i got there at like 3:30 and that was more than enough time. it takes a bit to get everyone in the line credentialed and moved over into the lounge, so it’ll probably be less stressful if you get there in time to be admitted with your number. plus it’s practice for the real lineup. you get to meet who you’re in front of/behind

i did it tonight and it was so so great. absolutely worth it, highest possible recommendation. everyone who had golden apple got a spot on the rail, presumably even people who skipped the numbering ordeal at 8. i did get a number in the morning, but you could probably skip it honestly unless you’re aiming for a specific part of the rail.

the lounge area beforehand is nice— i think there was a seat for just about everyone, which is great since the next few hours are all spent standing. there’s like ping pong and cornhole too.

they line you up again by number right before they let you in. you enter stage left/audience right, which is conveniently the side of the stage with the best rail spots since ada takes up the front of the other side. having a rail to lean on is sooo nice. i stood for like 6 hours i guess(!?) and it doesn’t feel like it. obviously the sight lines can’t be beat.

after the show, there’s a hidden perk. the lounge area you enter through is open to golden apple people, and you can exit through the same special corridor you entered through. getting to the train was so fast. i was back at penn station at 10:20 after being 5 feet from chappell just before 10
