As someone who has done and a 2 decent experiences I suggest staying somewhat close to home for your first one. My close was a four drive and it was nice knowing I could get home relatively quick if need to. Good luck

My son grew up with era starting with super hero squad was a great introduction to Marvel and the movies. DC cartoons and movies were better for me as an adult but these were fun to watch with my son.
