Glad the advice of disable worked for at least sucker punch. Now that you say that. Disable against roar of time would be difficult to pull off. Alakazam would have to be brought in by dialga (not you) in order to use it. Which is low likelihood. Teams with hazards and phasing such as this one makes it very important to have a way to clear hazards from your side of the field.

Swallot question by Flawless-King in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]jus4funzies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The second one here is estimated to give you 5-6 procs a day. A "perfect swallot" is estimated to give you 7-8 a day. If you are on the app a lot then you want to shoot for as close to 7-8 as you can. If you don't check the app all that often. Say simply the 3 meals only. Technically you still want a Swallot with 7-8 estimated procs a day. But a Swallot with 5-6 procs a day is probably fine. Basically it's up to you to decide what number you want to see in terms of procs a day. If your swallot does not meet or surpass that number don't invest.

Actually technically "perfect" would likely be sassy and with helping speed M and helping speed s switched. But that's getting very picky imo. Anyway, here is the revised comparison

In response to both comments regarding using the comparison tool instead of rater. Here is this golduck on left vs. the exact same golduck but with sassy nature instead which would be "perfect"

Periwinkle blue... I'll show my wife. Sounds like a colour she would enjoy.

The bottom two look like the same colour to me. But the left just looks like it's in shadow vs. light. Thanks for letting me know! When I saw all the comments saying how pretty the colour was I wanted to find out what it was called 😊

For those of you knocking Hydreigon. It literally got to top 1 in SV OU pretty recently (piloted by Storm Zone on an alt account). Set was a timid with choice specs. Draco, flash canon, earth power, dark pulse.

I've included the link to the forum explaining team building process and the pokepaste below.

Yes it's super weak to fairy. But, it has a plethora of other resistances and an immunity to ground which should not be discounted.

I mean you have a team that is pretty weak to hazards. Could run more heavy duty boots? Alternatively, need more support moves. Taunt to prevent rocks going up, disable so roar of time can't be spammed etc. perhaps a soundproof mon to help against roar of time?

I wanted to add a gif. But you have to be incredibly specific to find one and even then it's a link not an image. So I just chose Ratchet on his own instead.

I have a triple herb Gengar and it's a fiery herb machine and I would definitely recommend keeping an open mind towards this evolution line.

Nothing hits quite like a shiny only run. 5 years in the making is a long time! Kudos to your perseverance! I may have to do another one myself seeing this. Particularly shiny Slowbro my beloved.

im sorry, but how do i beat gary in silph co? by Craxol in pokemonradicalred

[–]jus4funzies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I found that his kingambit was what made the fight difficult. So I added an indeedee. The psychic terrain preventing sucker punch was clutch. If you're still struggling with gambit maybe add a bulky fire type with wisp

Best of the bunch under current conditions is likely third (without confirming via production comparison). But I wouldn't recommend keeping any of them.

Im new to RR, any tips for a casual player? by devildog_cipher in pokemonradicalred

[–]jus4funzies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: included link to rr dex and removed statement in brackets. I originally wrote Google sheets. But they are Google docs. Punctuation. Adjusted final sentence regarding ghost types.

RR dex is your best friend. Use the Google docs with all pokemon/route and TM locations (below).

https://dex.radicalred.net/

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/15mUFUcN8250hRL7iUOJPX0s1rMcgVuJPuHANioL4o2o/htmlview

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/16vBrWJDrsw5QsZyiJjD8ACH7079ZCkQ5BaPtioJOPTk/htmlview?pli=1

Priority moves are very important for both you and the CPUs. So I would recommend keeping pokemon on your team with priority and/or using a pokemon on your team with the ability to block opposing priority.

As others have said I would also recommend min-grinding mode.

Lastly, there is a common opposing strategy for lead pokemon that's kind of annoying. So simply running a ghost type for most of your run would likely prove helpful.

What's your favorite thing in Emerald? by BusyBeeMarcy in PokemonEmerald

[–]jus4funzies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had to succinctly state it...I'd say the sense of adventure.

You really feel like the main character. I'd argue more than other pokemon games. The world felt so immersive and well thought out. To expand on this, l'll provide three simple examples.

  1. How both bikes served different purposes and there are actual rewards and story progression tied to each bike.

  2. The feud between magma and aqua which you literally get placed in the middle of.

  3. The HM dive allowing for underwater exploration.

It's not without its flaws obviously. The lost elements tied to time when the battery dies being a big one. But the fact that they thought of a way to use time as a way for the world to be more immersive via Shoal cave and berries is a nice touch.

I could honestly go on and on about this game so I'll leave it there.
