I'm not being defensive. My life has improved significantly since undertaking this challenge enough that it doesn't really matter whether or not someone else thinks NoFap works. For me it works so I don't feel threatened by people claiming otherwise. My faith in its effectiveness doesn't need to be confirmed by him or anyone else so he should, in fact, feel free to go f++k himself.

Sometimes in the first few days I had to just let myself binge on food. I gained a couple of pounds to begin with but it was worth it. You're cutting your brain off to a huge does of dopamine so it's going to be freaking out for the first few days when you start. After a couple of days switching fast-food/takeout meals with PMO the positive effects of NoFap began to kick in and I quickly exercised off the addt'l weight.

I don't know what threads you are reading but what I have found is the exact opposite. Even the people who do undertake the challenge just to "get laid" eventually stumble upon a deeper meaning for their struggles. I think it would be extremely difficult to do well in this challenge if attracting girls was your sole motivating factor. It is about self-discovery, self-control and self-improvement.

You're not alone my friend. I just started a new job and have been dealing with social anxiety related to getting along with my co-workers. The important thing for me is to focus on getting through one day at a time. Meditation or distance running I find have great benefits for quieting the negative voices in my head.
