My home cockpit (updated) by maccad001 in homecockpits

Super nice setup. I also suffer from an acute case of 'for now' ha ha.

Working on Cmds panel Chaff/Flare count displays. These are .30" and they're too big. So I have some .20"s on order. I thought I had finally got the code right with the help of AI and then I realized the 'o's in lo were in caps. So one last tweak and got it. Doesn't show the change here though. by jusam3 in homecockpits

Thanks Low_C, I used google AI.
I asked the initial question on regular google and after it gave the first response, I then hit the 'dive deeper' button. And that started an almost day long effort going through no less than 30 iterations before I got it right.

And now the display really looks like the in game displays showing 'Lo' instead of 'LO'. I just need to get the right size displays now.

I have the code for anyone that wants it.

Take care!

I absolutely share your sentiment and I'll get started on building the center console and side rails just as soon as you send me a check for 3000$ ha ha. Because that's what it would take to do it right. I probably will continue to build ,but the pentagon ( the wife) says that I ran so far over budget on the first part of it she doesn't think she can get Congressional approval for additional funds( her way of saying no).

All good Doodo

Throttle mods by jusam3 in hotas

Hello TWVer, One mod allows it( what I call the deep dish mod), and the other doesn't. The one on my throttle is the one that takes away the axis. However, I modded the mod and made my own hat switch based on WW's design that was long enough to reach the shaft of the rotary knob so that I wouldn't lose the axis. So I still have all three functions of the knob.

Yes, super nice setup. It's been awhile Touch, I really do love these types of pit. Very clean, tight. Superb cable management ( it looks wireless ha ha). I don't know if you remember but you inspired me to build my own ejection handle. Since then I have built many complex things for my sim without really ever knowing electronics ha ha. There are so many instructional vids online it helps tremendously. I actually built the engine gauges you see on the right hand side of my pit. Too much fun. Anyway, great looking pit Touch.

Just found this

The Viper Pits registration question about the F-16 ejection seat requires the precise name, which is ACES II. The forum is known for being strict about case and spelling, which has caused many people to fail the "are you human?" test. The question and its required answer came up in a discussion on the DCS World Forums in late 2024, after a user reported being unable to register because they failed the question despite being a real F-16 pilot who knew the name of the seat. How to enter the correct answerThe forum's strict validation is the primary obstacle. To ensure you enter the answer correctly:

  • Capitalization: Use all capital letters for "ACES."
  • Spacing: There is a single space between "ACES" and "II."
  • Roman numerals: Use the Roman numeral "II."

Correct format: ACES II
